It's an adventure every single time. Again, nothing matches Motocross, especially racing, but mountain biking is a lot less expensive, and safer, as the speeds are slower (unless you start hucking huge jumps or drop offs). I have quite a few cool moments but probably the most memorable personally is this screenshot of me on a stock KX125 that I bought out of the classified ads a week before the race, alongside David Bailey at the 1985 MXdN. Bailey’s RC500 Inconel exhaust pipe cost more than my entire bike. I finished 6th in class.

Met Burrito when he lived in the Richmond, VA area back in 2005/2006. I was selling some parts on eBay and he hit me up and said we should go ride! Spent the next few years riding/racing with him quite a bit. Lots of road trips to North Carolina Motorsports Park in Henderson, NC where these pics are from. Never...

He wrecked on the finish line jump. Kind of like a superman and the bike landed right up by the fence near the spectator area and then he landed on the bike pretty hard. He got up and rode the mule out but his arm was splinted up. It was pretty scary and he almost took out Guy B who...
