Just to throw my 2 cents in, Mike Alessi has been nothing but a class act here in Canada this summer. Surprisingly well spoken on the microphone, humble, thankful to the fans, great with the kids and the media. Respectful of his competition (namely Facciotti) He spent two weeks on the break riding local tracks hanging out with moto families...

I find all this Vince and Tony stuff to be highly entertaining (in a pro wrestling kind of way) and great for the series. I haven't been this anxious to go to a CMRC National in years. Aside from the drama I'm also looking forward to see how the 800 makes out at the Dunes. Metty was great last year...

I take some offense to you referring to Gopher Dunes as a shithole as it's been my home track for many years. I do however agree that Alessi will do well there and has a very good chance of winning. Colton goes well there too. 1 lap around gopher dunes

I still don't get the anger displayed on here by some people towards Mike Alessi. It baffles me. His participation in the CMRC Nationals has had nothing but a positive effect on the series IMO. Noted. I guess I just assumed that press day was for a few selected riders, on limited parts of the track. Not open practice for everyone.

What's the deal with everyone practicing on the National track right before the race. I thought there were rules regarding this.

There was a kid who, I think finished 3rd in the LCQ, and he was so stoked. He was fist pumping and he tried to stand on his seat and try to wheelie a couple times. My wife and I were getting quite a kick out of him. He almost wiped out trying to do a stand on the seat...

RV needs to start steering with his front wheel. According to the guys on TV he only steers with his rear wheel. That can't be easy.
