I was trackside right next to the Big Gulp when he ripped that lap at Budds. One of coolest things Ive ever seen in person. It was downpouring!

Ay there’s one top guy that was out there ripping in the mud at budds creek. Videos on his YouTube of him practicing in a downpour. The dude is a badass. He’s putting in the work and you won’t ever see him lay over. He’s got grit. It’s not like there isn’t always mud races multiple times every year. Stoked to see it paying off. Idc if it was a mudder. Hunter and roczen are THE competition and both started and finished the same race, just way behind Deegan.

Vital is not a true representation for much other than ill-informed opinions, and a strong dislike (to the point of embarrassment) for Haiden Deegan. Had Hunter lapped Deegan twice, the vital pack mentality would be very vocal about it and all the, “it’s a mud race” would be replaced with, “they all lined up on the same gate under the same conditions” and “0-23” bullshit.

A muddy SX main event is one thing, but to go out and do it twice on the same track as everyone else, with an average lap time of 17 seconds faster than the guy that beat you all summer and narrowly missed the SX title is damn good. Deegan himself acknowledged that it was a mud race, but he and Kenny put a whoopin on everyone yesterday. Good thing the motos were shortened, he would have lapped up to 3rd...

He is already a fan favorite. He has the longest autograph lines and people were going nuts in the stands the last few laps both motos for him. Vital is not a true representation of the fandom.

justin cooper(wash kinda, cooper started top 5 and finished 3rd), ferrandisx2, sexton x 2, hampshirex2, plessingerx2, craigx2, barciax2, webbx2, malcomx2, .....oo and he didnt start in front of any of those guys...he passed them all. I'm a fan of Deegans wide open riding style on a 250 and I'm excited to see how it translates to a 450. I hope he does well. More guys up front the better

Both have 2 250SX titles, 2 250MX titles, 27 combined wins each, less than 5% variance in win percentages and podium percentages. What’s the difference between the two on paper going into their rookie years of the 450 class? I’m sure your reply will be completely unbiased and rational.
