I also found mention of this in several other places including Bloomberg. Uncertain times for KTM no doubt. Still a little thrown off by zero mention of this during any supercross broadcast. I’m not going to derail this thread further with tangents into moral assessments of Amazon or things of that sort. But yeah, I’ll agree that Pierer paying himself a big dividend while running out of money to pay workers is a scumbag move.

I’m really not sure what you’re saying here, I’ve no doubt that some unjust, unfair, or otherwise negative circumstances are not sweat shops or meat grinders, but I take it that sweat shops and meat grinders are generally unfair, unjust, and negative. Why would we be using such terms if not to claim that such moral descriptions are apt? There’s several separate issues here: Are sweat shops bad? Surely it’s not a stretch to say yes. Even if they’re bad, are they sometimes justified? This is largely a meta-ethical question - eg you may think a consequentialist moral theory is...

Amazon is a sweat shop. I know numerous people that work there and it's just a meat grinder. They give no fvcks about their people. I work at Adobe which is entirely the other end of the scale. Amazon has been after me for years to run their data centers and I keep saying no. Money isn't everything,

Nah that's a fair question. Same question the dealer asked me lol. But I took pictures of my bike the day I got it cuz I was super excited. First ever new bike. And I was able to zoom in far enough to see the clip backwards.
