Kids on 85's kickstarting their bike would smoke 60% of this forum. Let Suzuki have their piece of the market, hopefully we have some other affordable option soon. Cost is going to kill the amateur scene eventually.

1/9/2025 8:32am I bought a Suzuki, immediately saved thousands. Gotta get a skid plate, radiator braces right off the bat it’s cheap insurance. Gotta get a revalve/respring on any bike if you get out of second gear. At least service them. On a budget skip the bling/pipes/rims latest gear and spend that money on Highest quality chain, more oil changes, clean filters...

One thing I will say about the weight, sure you may feel it taking it off the stand and lifting it back on, but it’s never been something I’ve felt or noticed while riding and that damn bike feels so planted! “It’s just so easy to ride” This can’t be emphasized enough. It is the easiest 450 I’ve ever ridden and it may not be perfect in any one area, but it’s really damn good everywhere. Super easy to go fast on. Had a buddy ride the RMZ at LACR the last weekend they were open and he loved it...

Heading to Colorado Update: Odds and ends to update everyone. (still open to suggestions what y’all might want to know) Equipment: Parts Replaced so far: 1 broken rear fender from Doc crashing in every qualifying race one night in Reno, 1 rear tire on Josh and Doc’s bikes, 1 chain on everyone’s, 1 clutch pack (after 3 practice days and 4 nights of racing) in Doc’s bike, 1 clutch pack in Jake’s 450 (he’s been practicing a ton of starts to get reacquainted with the cable clutch, more on that later…) I mentioned previously we tried the AT82 rear. Massive credit to David Emmett. His reporting on this whole matter has been excellent. And he, like all the moto journalists has no background in finance but he has taken the time and effort to learn and report like a proper journalist would do. It's sad that nobody in our field has done this, everyone has buried their head into the sand and just said they are not qualified to report on it. I have read the free versions of Moto Matters for years and listened to the MotoGP podcasts that Emmett is on. But his reporting of the KTM...
