6/16/2022 2:11pm High compression, hot intake air temps, aftermarket ecu (any idea of what timing or how lean you were running?), what about fuel? Detonation + high revs = boom.

6/14/2022 4:30pm People waiting on one of the "big boys" to build an EV bike are going to end up like the people that are/were waiting on Ford or Honda to produce a competitive EV to Tesla that was "just as good and/or cheaper". Still waiting, or buying the Tesla.

6/14/2022 4:16pm Yea, pretty spot on here. My wife and I eat the same foods, we both do intense cardio (cycling, mountain biking, running, etc) and lift, eat very clean, sleep the same, and are both leaner and fitter than most. If anything her stress levels are lower than mine. But her cholesterol looks terrible, mine looks like the picture of health...

6/14/2022 3:52pm Yup, it's genetic. I have high cholesterol too even tho I weigh 182, my bp is 138/80 and my resting pulse rate is 50. Got it from my Mom, who was 5' 2" and 110 lbs. Has nothing to do with size or diet in my case, simply genetics. Regular blood work is a must to see how the engine is running. Like an oil analysis right? I'm a gym rat too and work at it but some things you need meds to manage. I have added more cardio over the years and less weight training, as I want to...

6/13/2022 6:29pm My brother in law died fishing. My father in law was stood next to him and survived. Didnt stop him going fishing. I wont ride a motorcycle on the road, or even cycle because the Risk V Reward for me is way into negative numbers. The guy who thinks i an nuts for racing MX, has lost more friends cycling on the roads, than i have on the track, and that is comparing the 5 years i have known him, to the 45 i have raced. I have had TT racers sleep on my couch, and i am never telling...

6/13/2022 2:41pm Wrong question. How do you want to live the life you have now? It’s either that or struggle to find meaning in a pointless existence.

6/13/2022 2:13pm That's what riding a 125 is all about. That's what makes it fun. Electric bikes will be easy to ride for sure and take less skill. The challenge of riding a 2 stroke or 4 Stroke is part of the fun. The roar of the engine and vibration is what makes riding a dirt bike fun. Take all that out and you will lose the heart of riding a dirt bike.

6/13/2022 8:43am My truck will put out 120v/20A but that's not going to charge it "fast". You can also buy a 240v/30A capable portable generator for $500 or so. I'm planning on using the truck to see if that works good enough, and if not I'll buy a cheap generator. Don't overcomplicate it...

6/10/2022 5:12pm $4000 seems a little high... I'm hoping for $1500-2000 for a battery in 5 years (when I'll likely need it).

6/10/2022 12:26pm Fully agree! I said it in an early post: for MX ICE dirt bikes are dead! Offroad‘s a different story. Just like chainsaws: for an hour, electric is a no-brainer! Working for 8h with it, you need a gas powered one.

6/10/2022 12:03pm Most people that buy the Stark are still going to want a gas powered bike. I’ll be one of them. My experience being owning both a Tesla with every driver aid imaginable, and a 500 hp AC cobra without traction control, air bags, or any safety features. Two polar opposite cars, and sometimes new tech and features and ease of...

6/10/2022 9:05am My Tesla only has around 60 kWh, with a total weight of 5000 pounds with the kids in it, and I can drive it for 5-6 hours before it needs to be charged. The varg has 20% better energy / weight capacity if youre a 160-170 lb rider. I don't see the battery crapping out in less than 30 mins...

6/10/2022 8:35am That's what I do as well. Crank up the truck (F150) and turn on the "generator" mode that allows for 2200w worth of power. The e5 only charges at about 1000w, which is fine since the battery is only 1kwh. We just do 20 min top ups every ride or two and never had issues going all day. I've been...

6/10/2022 8:15am It’s pretty easy. My sons ktm sxe5 we either plug it into the plug in in the cab, or the plug in that’s in the bed on my truck. I would assume this to be the same but who knows, I haven’t seen it.
