x2 on the clutch basket. I'd be willing to bet that the fingers are notched. This image of a worn clutch basket will probably look similar to yours. Over time, the clutch plates wear grooves into the side of the basket fingers. Option 1) remove basket and file down the grooves so the edge is smooth. Depending on how bad they're grooved will determine how effective this method is. It will get you a little more life, but will eventually fail again, albeit at a much faster rate. This is just a temporary fix. Option 2) replace basket with a...

Most likely the fingers of the basket are notched deeply and the plates cannot float freely.

Could be a few things: - oil level too high - warped clutch plates - worn out clutch arm - worn out basket or hub causing drag - clutch missing a throwout washer

Hey guys, got a kx125 and whenever I have my clutch all the way in on the stand my bikes back tyre still spins, but then also when I’m on the ground riding if I click it into first gear I have to be revving it a decent amount for it not too stall. Other bikes I’ve had and even...

I think little Jeffery needs more veggies in his diet ... sounds a bit light on iron too. Jeffrey you need to eat more peas, spinach and maybe some asparagus ... it'll do you good, ignore the pee smell. Boomer ... that bog happens if I don't get the engine on the old 400 super hot. It's been that way for the 20 years I've had it.

I heard you bog off the start and just pipped you into the corner..hahaha Since the dude has fitted new bars I'd reckon they need a trimming or if he is happy with the width then a cable play adjustment will suffice.

Double check the cable routing first. Then if that's fine are the new bars wider? Lastly you may have burrs on the new bars or the throttle tube may need to be sanded inside with fine grit or replaced. Sort it out before riding obviously. Edit * dang got holeshotted by the Slanger !! Gold luck ... hah i saw that

Your throttle cable routed correct? Does the rpm pick up when you turn one way or the other with the bike on the stand. Check that the cable is seated correctly where enterering the carb. If that is all good then waterpaper the part of the bar that your t/rolls over. Lastly, good chance that your new bars are slighly wider than your old ones thus taking up the free-play the throttle requires. Trim your bars accordingly. Good luck.

I only just got the bike, he told me to mix the fuel at 10L of petrol to 200ml of oil because that’s what he has done. He also told me he has had it jetted for doing trails. It seems to run fine when riding, but it doesn’t like to idiol only a few seconds before it turns off...

It could be due to fuel/premix ratio/carb jetting or there could be more going on. Does it seem to run fine or does it feel like it’s loading up? Do you lug the engine a lot?

Hello, I’m new to riding and recently bought a 2016 sxf250 and have found a slight leak out of an Alan key hole. It had a red tint in colour was just wondering if it would be major or not and if it’s normal cheers!
