This isnt a dirtbike race. It's a summer vacation for a little group of dickheads who've been gatekeeping the sport for 40 years. Letting people race their dirtbikes just funds the vacation. My favorite are the "regional championships" aka "we want your money, we just don't want you at the ranch in August."

What 250's are able to hit 35mpg in 1st gear? All the ones I've ridden I could barely get through the pits in 1st gear without falling over.

He's in by far his best form since 2021. He is actually is super consistent, gets the best starts he ever had on the Honda, looks less sketchy in general. If it weren't for his DNFs or Lucas, we would talk about how this is the best Herlings we have seen since 2018. With Lucas gone next year there is nobody who has anything for him in a championship barring injury. I don't see him quitting in the next 2-3 years. He could still win 1 or 2 titles after this year. If he somehow retires I'd be very surprised...

After looking at your foot print you have to work with, mine is about the same.. I made a classic horseshoe / U shaped track.... and in each section I made two lanes…. that way if someone that just wants to chill and hit small tables around the track, they have their own safe lines, then in the other lane I added some lips a few feet back from the tables to make doubles, step on step offs, etc. mine is a constant work in progress so don’t expect it to be perfect after your initial build…. So here is a rough idea of a layout, im working with a bit less land than before, about 380 ft by 200ft is the rectangle, I can probably stretch it to 400, just then it becomes harder for the farmer to plant the field as it extends past the end of my property. The big blue rectangles are tables, the smaller squares, are roller doubles. Advice?

Just touching base on this, so I ended up getting one and brought it home, today. It seems most dealers around here have '26s on sale, so there may be some slight variables, but I was just over $10k OTD. I honestly didn't call around too much but just made a list of some dealers that were close and got in contact w/ the ones that I frequently go to. To me, I thought anything at/around 10k OTD is pretty decent, so I wasn't going to make a big deal over a couple hundred bucks. So hope that helps.

There's a ton of good advice in here. I'm all for your own track. It's SO nice to get home from work, throw on your gear and rip for 30-40 minutes and not have to haul your bike anywhere. While two acres is smallish for a full sized bike, it becomes large to maintain unless you have nice equipment and most importantly TIME. He’s mentioned on a podcast, don’t recall which one, that he’s into watches. I believe they have the ability to maintain some type of value. Also, I believe he said in the same interview that he’d love to be sponsored by one of the bigger brands, he may have said which one but I don’t recall as I’m not into watches, and would wear it while racing to show the durability.
