We are cutting back. No more towing the hauler to any race over 1-1/2 hours away. Only one race weekend a month. Way fewer practice days at public tracks (have access to private ones). I ride my street bike to work every day the weather allows and leave the truck at home. Spent $163.50 to fill the truck Sunday on the way home from Hangtown. Almost $400 round trip just for gas. If it gets worse we will cut back more. This is a luxury sport, not a requirement. I might go insane w/o it but I might go broke...

I get out on the MTB atleast once a week, surf once a month or so, snowboard a few times a winter and take the bmx to skateparks once a month to keep these in check. Plan to keep these going near my birthday every year. This one is from last year for my 53rd.

If I may throw out a suggestion, when purchasing a new trailer, consider that you might seek to sell it at some point. Someone else looking to spend thousands of dollars on a used trailer may expect it to include certain functions. You mentioned the scale and the electrical worrying, for example.
