He was closer in moto1, arm pump (he said) caused the fall off in moto2. He will figure that out. He was just a tick off Jetts pace. And equal to Hunter until Deegs slowed a bit. He's doing great as a rookie in the class. And Jett is faster than I thought he'd be, damn what an impressive second moto.

I believe Danger Boy has a very high ceiling. Both nationals so far you can clearly see there’s work to be done. I think his fitness needs to come up to handle a 450 2 full motos. He faded in the first moto and I don’t think he fully recovered for the 2nd. I also think the bike set up is off some still but it was better than Pala. I think his starts will continue to improve, because he's learning that qualifying times really do matter in the 450 class when it comes to gate picks. the kid works his ass off and with Jett and Hunter being faster, he's just going to get that much better. He's definitely got Jett and Hunter's attention. Going to make it a fun summer to watch it all play out.

Isn't this pretty normal for a 250 champion that moves up? In the last 20 years I'd bet that it's happened much more often than not that a 250 champ rookie was on the box in the 450 class in the first 2 rounds. Jett, Hunter, ferrandis, AC are the last 4 I guess. All won or podiumed in the first 2 rounds

Has nothing to do with fitness, has everything to do with line choices and speed. HD will get there. He'll study film and perfect his race craft. So many people underestimating him after his 2nd national.
