4/18/2020 11:12am Hi, Here are some photos of my semi finished mc build from last year. Changed a few things since then and still looking for a genuine 1997 cr125 seat to finish it off. Thanks to Col MCfan for hooking me up with some of the parts. Thanks Matt

4/18/2020 11:10am I believe most gears are still available from Honda new. Transmission is not an area you want to cut corners on. Do it right while you have it apart.

4/18/2020 10:44am Bought this bike in sad condition on 4/1. Typical kid type repairs with wrong bolts, cross threaded. Silicone to hold said bolts in place. To top this , had no compression.
After a quick pressure wash to remove the dirt from the 1st ride this roach ever took. She went on the lift
Sorry no pics of the motor but i found the upper ring snapped and creating a nice deep gouge in the cylinder wall. Shipped cylinder off to eric gorr for welding and replating. Bad news is due to lockdown everybody is building things...

4/14/2020 4:30pm WOW!! No expense was spared on this build. I like it a lot. I've always been curious how much weight a complete titanium bolt/nut kits saves.

4/14/2020 4:28pm Last up on the build was to ditch my old 450 wheel set and build a nicer looking set to complement the bike. I sent the stock hubs to Clayton at Trick Engineering and had the OEM cast marks turned down. Then, I had a local guy vapor hone and powder coat the hubs in a translucent bronze manufactured by Columbia coats. The hubs were then laced up to a set of A60 using Excel spokes and nipples.

4/14/2020 4:22pm Finally had a nice day so I wheeled her outside to snap a few glamor shots. She turned out pretty nice. Im not finished and a bike build is never done but I needed to slow down the spending and actually spend a few laps on it

4/14/2020 4:20pm As mentioned above. The rear shock received a little bit of love. The shock body and other pieces were anodized by a local shop and an it turned out decent. Some of the black didn’t take to the body but it’s not to noticeable when the subframe and airbox is installed. I think I have about $200 in dressing up the rear shock.

4/14/2020 4:20pm Just a few extra detail pictures Ti bolts with aluminum washers are holding a new 304 shorty on the subframe
The new chain guide is hell tight with these sweet little m5 Ti bolts.
Out back the chain buffer is replaced and receives Ti mounting hardware. To finish out the swing arm a set pod PC axel blocks and Ti chain adjusters are installed
Just a little bit of carbon to dress up the front end
