The stock mapping on the 300 is a quick/ hard, low to mid hit, then signs off early, you learn to short shift and not over rev the bike…gearing was 14-49 when they first came out, I settled on 14-50 to use 3rd more…my 25 came with 14-46 gearing…strange rear gearing, I immediately went to a 50 rear. I have a remap from WMR KTM shop in Florida….the most power/ MX map is eye opening….bottom, mid, and top end pull for as long as you hold it open….all on pump gas 93 octane….what I like about the 300”s is map#2...

I like Lew, he's been a nice addition to moto media. I just find this whole "investigative journalism" stuff pretty gay and a waste of time and energy. Just enjoy the racing, I don't know why we need answers to all the hypotheticals. The amount of time spent each week on podcasts, social media, etc. making predictions and assumptions that usually don't become reality literally a few days later is kind of weird. There's so many variables in motocross, those predictions almost never come true. They spent Sunday - Friday talking about what's going to happen, almost none of it...

Money can’t buy speed, but it 100% can develop potential to it fullest. HD is a great example of fantastic potential, and the budget to develop it. He’s absolutely brilliant on the bike. He has had world class support from the beginning, and he’s made it work really well. Bob Hannah is a great example of a self made man, with fantastic potential that developed by his own drive and hard work. I don’t think he had the technique of HD, but his drive to win was incredible. Just my opinion, and I’ll express it without shit talking anyone else...

I can’t contribute to the differences between the two specs of the pipes. But I wanted to share a tip for keeping raw pipes looking good and easier to maintain. Clean your exhaust up really good and coat it with Cerakote wipes ($15 for 10 wipes on Amazon) and it keeps the rust off. The only place I have to touch up is the initial curved section. Very minimal scuffing in that spot then reapply and it looks perfect again. The main portion of the exhaust doesn’t get hot enough to do anything to the coating. It does give a...
