There is also a Dutch/Belgium podcast with regular guests De Reuver, Joel Smets, Joel Roelants, Stefan Everts, team owner Hans Corvers. The latest episode they focus on the travel costs and oversea's races. Apparently things got a big heated in China this year, where factory Ducati MXGP team owner Louis Vosters had a hard debate with Infront how many 100's thousands of Euro's he had to spend each year to do a race with a 10 men gate. I think all manufacturers and teams should make a point towards Infront and demand a max. of 16 races with 2-3 oversea's...

A lot of us grew up riding with our dads from a young age. At 36, my dad was and still is my best riding buddy. He’s done it a long time and knows what to do and how to do it properly, so I have always trusted what he has told me at the track. I raced the 2 stroke nationals in 2020, him and my mom took the trailer and bike out the night before so all I had to do was show up and race. He still sweeps my gate for me, preps the bike when he’s...

This topic feels personal to me. Without giving too much information about myself away... I had a professional racing career in a different discipline of motorcycle racing. Honestly, my dad had already done enough damage at 14 years old that it negatively affected the rest of my career. By time I was old enough to get away, a lot of the damage was already done. So we ended up doing it on our own and basically failed at that too. I had one opportunity at a decent satellite ride on the conditions my dad wasn't involved. Looking back now, that...

Two things. If helmet manufacturers would get together and figure out a simpler way to secure their product to the young mans heads and if we could just make bike stands a little shorter it would lessen the need to have dad in the pits.

Definitely overshadowed by the recent big names retiring, just want to ensure we recognize this incredibly talented rider from Michigan, Mr. Marshall Weltin. Great dude, ground it out in the pro ranks for twelve (12) hard years. Gonna miss this cat, simply a great dude, lots of fun to be around.

If they can produce a high quality knock off for a fraction of the price who cares? Give 'em 5 years and I'm sure they'll improve quality and durability. And if they can do that for cheaper than the big mfgs, the consumer is the ultimate winner here and forces the big foreign manufactures to be more competitive w/ price, technology, and quality. Don't forget, Japan used to be the Chinese equivalent of production quality for all goods, now look at them.

I need it every single second, since RC is always waffling on about inside outsides, and Will telling us what Joey Savatgy’s uncle had for lunch on Tuesday, we have no idea about what is going on apart from what is being shown on screen

My dads been gone 30 years. Think about him all the time. It feels like he's still around. The older I get the more I appreciate him. Grief is a process. Takes a while. Ive seen one or two people never get over it, but the vast majority do. Sorry for yor loss. Losing the old man sucks.

Losing your father is tough for anyone, but for a man to lose his Dad is devastating. He was the model for what you should be like. So very sorry for your loss. As many others have pointed out, it does get easier, but it never goes away. And truthfully, you truly don’t want it to. Those flashbacks and moments that you have that will be your dad speaking to you.

Well guys, he passed this morning. It's going to take me a while to get through it and be back to normal, but it's been helpful to read through your replies. Thank you. A weird thought hit me about an hour ago: I am now the patriarch of my whole family. Another good reason to be a man about it.

Thank you guys again for your words. My dad is home today on hospice care. I'm going to see him tomorrow for what may be the last time. Even if it's not, that "last time" will be soon. It sucks.

By 2030 prediction: Data centers will be kindling within five years. I'm betting we're one massive AI exploit away from a corporate "HOLY SHIT" moment. The kind of revelation that makes all the conspiracy theorists everyone laughed at suddenly look like Nostradamus. NVIDIA is already putting LLM-capable machines on the desktop. By 2030 there will be clones everywhere. Why co-locate sensitive data when you can process more of it locally? Data centers aren't disappearing. Storage and streaming still need them. But the rush to centralize everything? I think we're going to watch that pendulum swing hard the other way.

TONS of kids go off to college at 18 and find the environment isn't for them just like Mark found out at Club. It is no slight to Clubmx at all, it just wasn't the right fit at the time for Mark. 18 year olds come home from a failed experience at university, get a job, go to community college or whatever. They REGROUP, grow up a little... and then attack life. That is what Mark Finies has done. The kid is living a clean lifestyle on his terms and i think that is awesome.
