11/29/2021 6:16pm The reports I've read so far were that he was taking the pre-determined exit point off the track and used the time-tested hand-over head signal we all use to indicate getting off the track. I don't think that Scott is to blame for anything here.

Mike was clear on the right of the track when he landed on the previous jump. Slower rider was middle-left…mike jumped from right to left on a blind jump…stupid decision when you know there are lappers everywhere…now a man is paralyzed. Completely avoidable from a track organizer standpoint and a ‘pro’ rider standpoint.

Every case is different. When it comes to SCI injuries it's complicated. With an incomplete SCI injury you can have feeling below the injury level, but it doesn't mean that you'll regain any mobility. That said, people with incomplete injuries stand a better chance at getting some or all of their mobility compared to people with complete SCI injuries. Still absolutely sucks!

I don't see any scenario where Mike drifting left into the slower rider's line would not have, at minimum been a close call. Mike was all the way to the far right, and landed on the rider left of center. The rider was in plain site. The rider held his line. No one is perfect. This one is on Mike. He should own it, and apologize.

11/21/2021 11:31am This crash was super scary and unfortunate. Clearly two major issues: 1. The circumstances that would allow this to take place never should have been allowed in the first place. This was definitely a planning problem, and this is the majority of the responsibility. I don't think it needs much additional commentary b/c there is little nuance here. And, hopefully...
