10/10/2014 11:45am You're battling religious fundamentalism. Atheists are often just as fundamentalist as many theists in my opinion, and I think atheism is just as much intellectually bankrupt as fundamental Christianity is. I can recommend some good books if you'd like that kind of go between those lines of fundamentalism and give a different, much more acceptable view of belief in God.
