The only thing I didn't care for is the bit about not racing the nationals. There is definitely another option to saying your racing. Just say you're not fucking sure in a positive manner!
Probably highlights the lack of education in the pits that no one can come up with a better PR strategy than to lie because you're not sure.
"...We're dealing with this situation, it's a thing in progress, we thank our sponsors for their ongoing support and we're gonna get through this, when we know more we'll let you know..." - public image lifted, you don't look like an asshole and no one is in the dark.
what madmaxperformance means is this, RV doesent have to wake up every monday morning and drag himself outta bed, just to make like 30,000 a year working 10 hour days just to keep a roof over his head.
always a lot of projection going on in these type of threads and it's fairly easy to spot, backpedaling and following "clarifications" not withstanding.....
I was talking about Peelout. Oh and I hope RV does well too.
i wasn't really cheering for ryan in the states, i admired what he accomplished though- undeniable work ethic and race craft.
vs the world though?
i'm team rv. all day. usa vs the world- he's got my support, not that he cares
What's mind boggling ( and kind of cool to see ) is there are a lot of Euro fans that say they'll be cheering for him to do well. Pretty cool in my book.
First time him an TC are battling neck and neck, they will be throwing spike strips out on to the track..lol. If he does win, all those "Gp dudes are faster" comments will be null and void....
You're Welcome
Pit Row
You forget that the GP fans are from many different nations, while AC is the title holder he is from a very small country in the middle of a goddamn continent, he is racing in a world series that visits many different countries and most fans would prefer a racer from their own country to have the #1 plate I can tell you.
We will jeer RV no more or no less than anybody else racing.
And he will get a lot of crowd and fan support I can guarantee it, everybody I know in moto is excited about RV coming across!
Let's try not to turn this great interview into another us vs them thread.
It takes understanding about the world outside of the USA as well as some basic geographic knowledge to follow this move by RV well and the Americans will hopefully benefit from following the GP's now as the series moves from country to country around the world - maybe pick up some knowledge about the world while following the GP's on Mr. Luongo's MX GP TV service. I notice each event that is broadcast live includes a little piece at the beginning about each country visited so at least the American will be able to see there are actual countries outside the USA, I do not mean this in a bad way, I am American myself currently living outside the USA----- it is just that I am (like Danny LaPort extremely international in my thinking) and I see the picture from way above from where most American MX fans are sitting.
But having said that the GP series is a world event instead of an event from a single country, like England, there is actually an element of US against them (USA against Europe as a whole), this comes from the fact that the US is as big as all of Europe combined so it has a huge pool of MX talent whereas to match that, the Euros have to pick from all of Europe
Good work TW, and thanks RV for a good interview.
Good thing RV doesn't care about records, because he doesn't own any of them!
Serious though, I've never been a fan of RV because imo, he's just a bland rider(personality and on the track) kinda reminds me of a Jeff Stanton type of persona. I do however respect his work ethic and what it took for him to get to where he's at today and I'll also be rooting for him in the GPs.
One question I do have is what were the decisions that RV spoke of, that helped to promote SX/MX?
LOL, ok
Do you know what bland means?!
Post a reply to: holy TWMX RV interview Batman!
