1/8/2021 9:37am Is this gap suppose to be there or should it sit up against the nut?

1/6/2021 2:37pm Cr250 running 50/50 sunoco standard and pump 91 at 32:1. Bike has a bog down low. Currently running lectron carb and typical bolt on parts. Bike randomly started having this bog issue, replaced servo and piston ring to no avail.

1/6/2021 2:37pm Thanks for reply paw paw, the fuel mix is fresh and the ring has 5 hours on it. The last compression test was at 220 psi. I performed a leak test and found a massive air leak at the reed cage. The insulator is not sealing. I need to seal it up so I can then check the main seals...

11/14/2020 8:47am Yea man, that thread was a bit ugly. I didn't even finish it. I ran the stock carb. Since it is a play bike I didn't go lectron or keihin, but he mentioned the stock carb is good if dialed in properly. Varner motorsports is his website. When he did mine I sent him the carb through the exhaust flange...

11/13/2020 10:52pm Yea, not trying to start a pissing match about the guy, probably should have handled the situation better or hire some help if that thread is 100% accurate. Just bringing to light a cr builder with a pretty good engine package for a cr. It's been 3 years since he did mine and it took longer than I expected but...

11/13/2020 10:13pm IMO ( and people will jump down my throat for this) Terry Varner is probably the best cr builder. That 125 at straight rhythm was a Varner build. I have a 02 cr125 play bike with a full Varner motor and can say it absolutely rips and holds it own on the track against the KTMs. I had plans for...
dunerider209 Added a reply to 2002 CR250 lost compression
10/31/2020 11:29pm Well if it lost all compression then the top end went. The last bike I saw that lost all compression smoked a hole in the piston from running lean. A couple things to check would be air leaks from crank seals, air boot area etc. Next, I would look at the jetting. Also too, you say a motor guy built...

dunerider209 Added a reply to Worth it to upgrade to a 250f?
8/1/2020 10:20pm I went from a 125 straight to a 250 2t. Honestly the transition is not bad as long as you respect the bike and ride within your limits. I took the bike to the trails a few times to get use to the power difference and overall feel for the bike before going to the track. For your price range...

7/7/2020 9:46am About 5 years ago I had my suspension set up on my 125 and the following weekend went out to club Moto. The suspension was super stiff and about 4 laps in I case an uphill double out of a corner and the bike bucks me and I Superman in with the throttle wide open. I went up the hill...

4/21/2020 8:17pm I'll have to check that out, it's been a while since I've repacked it . I was also thinking the servo motor isn't getting enough power to move the power valves and the only thing that I have not tested is the rectifier.

4/21/2020 10:41am No, after Pismo trip where the bike ran great, I took it to the dirt a few weeks later and that's when it started running weird so I assumed it was the ring. I replaced the ring and still runs terrible.

4/20/2020 8:39pm Hey guys Im having issues with my cr not running correctly. Bike is ported with vforce reeds, pipe, silencer and lectron carb. Fresh top end, power valves serviced and a new servo motor. I run 50/50 mix Sunoco standard and 91 at 32:1. Bike is not as snappy off bottom, flat on top and worse at altitude even with lectron...

4/9/2020 9:14am Although I don't have one on a 125, but I have one on my cr250. Personally I think their worth their money. Everyone says it takes away the hit but really it makes it a manageable and smoother hit IMHO. I personally ride at different elevations from tracks to trails in mountains, and have yet to have to adjust it...
