The one true "bar-to-bar." He was a little before my time, but I've never not enjoyed hearing him whilst watching old coverage. RIP

RIP Art. Truly one of the best. Art and David Bailey were a fantastic team!

One of, if not the most, iconic voices in SX and MX. RIP Art!

Damn... A piece of my childhood is gone now. RIP Art.

Damn shame. That was the voice I looked forward to hearing every weekend while watching the races with my grandfather as a kid. RIP LEGEND.

In June, Old town Erie on Holbrook St across from Town Hall. Can get details for the event on their Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/coloradovintagemotorcycleshow/

Update: The bike won the 2023 AHRMA Rocky Mountain Region Classic 250 Expert Championship! I bought the bike in September of 2021. After completing some finishing touches and the addition of an HPI C2 ignition in 2022 the "F41M" was finally ready to race in 2023. I had originally thought I would just do the Steamboat race this year, but with the the bike working well and feeling fast in testing, when that race got cancelled, I decided to race the series. Glad I did!

Found a back wheel! It's off a 1970 kawasaki F5 Bighorn 350. Got the wheel (in good condition), backing plate and brake cable (needs repair) for $90 locally. Got everything so far together and mocked up!

It is very interesting you mention the American Eagle 238. Not very much can be found online about that bike that was supposedly the "crown jewel" of the short-lived American Eagle Brand. according to an article found at (http://graeterartgallerybuildingspeed.blogspot.com/2012/07/1969-america…) here is some info on that bike which is a very close relative to the Kawasaki Green Streak: "Having made his fortune establishing American Honda in the early 1960s, advertiser extraordinaire Jack McCormack set about creating his own motorcycle company in 1968. Known as American Eagle, McCormack’s new brand burst onto the scene with a complete line of off-road and street...

Billet Carb Boot: I was having trouble with dirt getting past the original rubber carb boot on the motor. It was also cracked, which didn't help any either, especially with my plans for this motor. I couldn't find a reproduction boot, and wasnt interested in dusting my expensive top end parts, so I decided to make my own trick carb boot out of (polished) billet aluminum!

Count me in the "get off my lawn" crowd in regards to interviews. The written word for me.

We need Vince for MXON

Yeah and Deano said that was fine... It's everything else that went on.

Seems like Hunter has been a car guy for a minute now. He had a nice AMG GT Coupe before I remember seeing. Jett has said multiple times that he will set a championship reward goal such as buying a house or a nice car if he can win the title he’s going for. Everyone needs extra little motivations or self bets to stay locked in.

IDK why this comment is getting downvoted lol

I have the money to buy a Ferrari but now I'm too old and wise to do so when I think about insurance and maintenance, so I drive a Passat (and why I sold my Tesla...) hahaha Good on the kids to enjoy their success and money. I wish I had spoiled myself more but my upbringing with no money was always focus to save money for the future. Now, I have money but no desire to spend it other than a few expensive watches which some of them tripled in value since I got them... The Lawrence Brothers are...

In no situation is buying a 6 figure car a douchebag move. A douchebag move is buying a clapped out 1995 civic and slamming it and putting a fart can exhaust on it. Not a 6 figure italian exotic.

I have no idea why anyone who can afford and buy a Ferrari that others would consider it a douchebag move. I dont give a damn how anyone makes their money as long as its legal, and they can buy what ever makes them happy. Anyone who pisses on anyone else that spends their wealth the way they want is a jealous douchebag.
