7/9/2026 4:59am I have the system for my MTB. I think its pretty good but you have to use it as a tool and not the end all be all. I think what its done for me best is getting a good spring rate and good rebound speeds front and rear. In the end you need to decide what feels best for you but it has pushed me to experiment more with setups. I would have never run the rebound speeds that I am running now without it or tried the spring rate that I am running now as well. I would...

7/8/2026 7:29am Thank you for taking the time to provide a detailed response and share your direct experience you had with it. Love your clamps and spanner. They have been extremely useful for me on both the ravens and the 7548's. Will probably pickup the shock tool soon. (Trying to get my own vac pump setup working so I can move past the DRC cup) Similar experience for me, I have basically moved to offroad focused and just doing moto for training/cardio/coaching. I race more on the national enduro style courses and occasional local hare scramble/gp style race. So getting consistent and...

7/8/2026 7:24am Good find. I had only considered the Motion Instruments at the time I bought my Motoklik. Obviously the price difference is what pushed me to Motoklik, and wouldn't you know it, I got what I paid for (not quite). I vaguely remember running across the BYB at that time that I was looking to buy a telemetry system early 2024...

6/28/2026 11:25am I've had the motoklik for a couple years and it has not served useful for me. It's interesting, it has potential, but at the end of the day i've got nothing to show for it besides answering some questions for myself on the practical utility of such equipment, which ties to Billy's comments about you only get as good of...

5/7/2026 7:21am Thanks for your reply. I have gone through all the basic steps again It is my sons bike by the way,a 2025 ktm sx 250,he weighs about 83kg with full gear I opened the bleeder screws again and a lot of air escaped,so that will help. But i found out he had a collision with another rider on the side off his forks and i loosend the axle clamp and the fork popped out almost 5mm. All those things together probably explain the stiff feeling. We will try on the track again with 140 psi and see how it handles...

5/7/2026 7:19am The bottoming cone version is common on most of the '23+ MX models. Even the 2023 350 SX-F parts diagram shows the bottoming cone design. Kinda weird that your '24 has the bumper type. Ironically I can't find, specifically, a '24 350 SX-F chassis parts diagram. It's the only one not listed on RMATV. maybe it's a spare parts year.

4/26/2026 9:19pm The correct length spring for the shock design, is 240mm +/- 5mm. Very tough to fit longer with the Xtrig collar. I have fit 247mm as well as 250mm springs to PRODUCTION shock with standard collar however the design length is always best bet. Time for new spring!

DejaMoto Started a new thread Sherco KYB rear shock - Hard enduro setting
11/11/2025 7:03am Rear shock off of a 2021 Sherco SE 300 Factory. Will fit all 2019-2024 Sherco Offroad models. This shock was used as a testing/setting development shock. It has about 80 hours total, with many fluid changes and rebuilds during that time since it was apart many times for setting changes. It has been freshly rebuilt with 0 hours. It is...

12/28/2024 7:52pm I do, and I can, but it's probably best for you to support a local-ish guy. You're curious and willing when it comes to suspension which is awesome, that's how most of us got started, but the last thing you want it to piss off the local guy. Sure, he'll probably throw a fit over what you've done and want...
DejaMoto Added a reply to Manufacturer Defect - Suzuki Showa 49 Fork
12/27/2024 6:54pm unfortunately that was likely the culprit. A chromed wrench is WAY harder and sharper edged than the rebound rod and/or painters tape. The painters tape maybe got you through the first one, but it's no match for hardened chrome and hard anodizing. If you measure the thickness of the wrench, and the distance between the two areas of marring, there's...
FGR01 Liked a reply to forum topic Mixed rate fork springs
12/26/2024 7:12pm Keep in mind, spring rate is determined by the thickness of the wire the spring is wound from. That means a higher rate spring is physically bigger and displaces more oil and air. That means you'd need to have specific oil volumes calculated for each leg based on what rate spring is in it. I know, this is miniscule stuff and I personally would not care. Just wanted to make the heads explode on the guys that fret over 5cc of oil.. hahaa

DejaMoto Added a reply to Nitrogen Shock Fill
4/18/2024 7:36am My understanding is that it's not really about the nitrogen, it's more about the oxygen. Oxygen is reactive with both the rubber parts as well as the fluid. The byproducts of the reaction effect lubricity and viscosity. Advances in synthetics and additives helps fight the oxidation of the fluid, but heat and agitation are two major accelerators to the oxidation...

DejaMoto Started a new thread broken spring tube seats on 2024 WP closed chamber fork - replacement
3/28/2024 3:48pm We've been getting quite a few reports that the new closed chamber forks have been chewing up the OEM plastic molded spring tube seats, and there's been some frustration with backorders/lack of availability for OEM replacements through WP/KTM group, so our buds over at Evo Idaho whipped up a batch of replacements out of delrin, for any of you still...

3/7/2024 8:20pm I just restored a set of Showa 47s last night for a CRF restoration, and man, i miss those forks. They performed great and had very few changes over the years. As someone said above, Art of War is doing some air conversions with the kits that you linked. I have a couple sets of KYB converted forks, and i have been tempted more than once to set up a Showa 47 conversion set. I wish their US distribution was better..

3/6/2024 7:57pm They are out there, but as you said, not terribly popular for no other reason than I believe they were the last ones to the WP air fork cartridge market and a weak distribution network. I had the Showa GPE instagram guys hammering my DM's trying to get me to buy some kits, as I was doing a ton of...
