cslacker Added a reply to Marijuana, Booze, Liability, Oh my!

Is it safe to take adderall and ride? What about blood pressure medication? Having a track in and of itself is a liability. At the same time, knowingly allowing someone to ride intoxicated in any way would definitely increase the liability. The key word there is knowingly...

You state in post that "So based upon your own data, I would say that there is a statistically significant increased risk involved." That is what I said Um, no to... Don't get all worked up as I stated in my rebuttle to your post, that is not what the study reflects. And I would prefer to base my opinion...

Um, no. Read the whole thing, not just the charts. They specifically state that once age and gender are taken into account, there is no statistical increase in accident frequency. And just to be clear, I don't smoke weed, let alone smoke weed and ride. Just throwing out some information for those that might want it.

Haha! I almost typed your exact last sentence! I'm amazed how people have no issue telling their children that they take xanax for nerves, vicoden for pain, zoloft for depression then drink a bottle of wine every night to "unwind" from a hard day. Yet someone such as yourself is supposed to hide a perfectly logical use for pot from...

I will repeat for the last time, I personally know many people who actively smoke pot who have started(without parental support), own and run very successful businesses. To state otherwise makes you simply foolish. Your personal insults are laughable and since you have insulted others bringing children and how to raise them into the conversation, I will say that I...

Wow, when it comes to moto people I typically think well of them. You definitely break that mold. To think that anyone who owns/operates a multi-million dollar business cannot have ever smoked weed is so absolutely stupid it's incredible. Some of the most motivated and successful individuals I have had the pleasure of knowing and calling friends have partaken in...

Well, it sounds like you are talking about a family member who has gone down the wrong path and you are trying to blame a substance for that instead of the individual.

And more different advice.... Some key things I took from what you said were that you will not be racing and you got bored previously which is part of why you stopped riding. I personally find a 450, especially a tuned down 450, to be the most boring ride possible. Does it go fast? Absolutely... and it would definitely be...

Actually it doesn't accurately sum up the facts. According to the NHTSA (US Gov't): Unadjusted Odds Ratios Between Drug Class Use and Crash Risk Drug of Interest Unadjusted Odds Ratio P Value THC (Marijuana) 1.25 0.01 Sedatives 1.30 0.06 Narcotic Analgesics 1.15 0.26 Antidepressants 1.06 0.75 Stimulants 1.01 0.40 Illegal Drugs 1.21 0.01 Legal Drugs 1.07 0.43 But then added...

cslacker Added a reply to Pirelli tire

3/9/2016 7:09am
Pirelli MX Xtra X are great tires that last forever, especially the front. I haven't ridden with any others. So far I have over 12 hours on my Michelin Starcross 5 mediums and they are the best tires I have ever been on. The wear is almost unnoticeable as well. That is combined riding between track and rocky desert. The...

Nobody is saying that you shouldn't listen to commentators such as Bob Costas. He has valuable insight as a long time observer of the sport. There is a reason however, that he is sitting up there with a bunch of former pros... So that you can get both perspectives. If Bob went off saying some stupid, negative crap about a...

That's great... I am not trying to argue with you about what attracted you to the sport... Watching McGrath back in the day is what got me interested as well... We live in a different world now. And I am having a hard time believing that parents are buying their kids bikes because they saw supercross on TV. I thought...

I never said city officials took it upon themselves to build the skate parks. And I am not trying to take anything away from the Tony Hawk Foundation and all of the hard work and frustration they and others have had to deal with to make this all happen. I feel like you think you are disagreeing with me but...

1 in a thousand is a huge overestimation in my opinion. Kids can't even walk to school or go to the park without the "helicopter parent" now... Headers are being outlawed in kids soccer... Supercross is about putting on a show to make money, and there's nothing wrong with that. But to say it increases local track attendance is a...
