This video best viewed - with headphones, on full screen mode, on a 34" curved monitor on a standing desk. I dare anyone to try that and not lean your body or tilt your head into corners. Makes you want to go out and buy a 125 2 stroke. Such a legend. I think he’ll come back for 24sx to go out on top. All going well with recovery of coarse. Either way, it’s been a hell of a career and I’m happy I got to see it…. All timer for sure.

As much as I’d like to see him out there too, I don’t think an Achilles recovery is possible in just 6 - 7 months. He needs to be on the bike before Thanksgiving to be ready for 24 SX and that is only 6 months away. The math just doesn’t work. Hopefully I’m wrong, I just don’t know how he can do it, no matter how well therapy goes.

Tony Berluti is a great guy. I met him at Loretta’s and at several nationals in the 90s. He was always willing to take a minute to say hi. I kept an eye out for him at any of the nationals I attended and looked forward to the conversations.

They both hit the ground hard and I'm suprised Jett never got hurt. Looking at the vid I'd say Jett planted harder than Forkner but came out unscathed. Bummed for Forkner and hope nothing is broken. Here's hoping that he is ok and makes Daytona. I'm not trying to be biased here but if this was a normal main event then this incident may not have happened. Jett would have been a little more patient with the extra 8 minutes. These 10 minute sprints are exciting but tends to lean towards arena cross type racing. I know most riders don't...

The '72 CB750 was the first street bike I every got a ride on. I was 10 at the time and a neighbor from a few houses down had one. I was surprised he offered but am glad he did.
