I am generally not a fan of black rims but to be honest I didn’t even notice them as I was so blown away by the rest of the bike. They look good on this build for sure.

Yeah, it has a bormi tank and subframe, WP fork, Proflex shock, ported cylinder, cone pipe, pwk 39mm carb and the usual ”whole overhaul” treatment. Me and my father own around 30 hondas from year -77 and onwards. With some Mugen, and EX GP bikes in the collection. But i guess we can say that i am more of a purist when it comes to period correct parts than my father.

No worries, i give my dad the same heat for ruining his -90 cr500 with black A60 rims instead of silver.

So sick!!!!!!!! Those KX 500s were so gnarly, yet smooth when compared to the CR500s. Would be a blast to ride one again.
