Ive heard of people riding for free to ride for ClubMx, but I heard Lux Turner turned down a ride like that with ClubMx for a ride that pays at BarX. I don’t think there’s any guys riding for free on factory teams, even Wil Hahn said he was making like 350k a year from Kawi in the 450 class barely making it out of the LCQ on some nights lol

I heard a rumour Chase has signed a new 3 year deal. Year 1 on Star Yamaha, year 2 at Triumph and year 3 at Beta. Each team has agreed to pass on their data, settings and what components they tried each year to the next team to save space on their corporate hard drives. Part of the handover package will be a set of re-usable KYB fork and shock stickers.

Genuinely curious - how would this arrangement make more sense? Is there really that much more sponsorship income from being independent? Enough to offset all the costs of racing? At the moment I would think their own outlay would be pretty minimal.
