Vital is a weird place, man. Dudes bagging on Beta, who actually builds a legit bike, has a dealer network, and sponsors teams. Meanwhile, praises are being sung and anticipation is building for bikes with legacy decals slapped on them, stamped out en masse in China, with motors and suspensions probably held together with Phillips screws. The Bultaco of tomorrow is probably a slight refinement of yesterday’s APC models sold at Pep Boys. But, hey, you do you.

If I was in the market for a new street bike right now, it's a REAL short list. It's either this CB or a Kawi 900RS. The Yamaha XSR ain't it.

I spent some time on a friend of my dad's new Bultaco trials bike in the mid 2000s. Was the last model before they were rebranded as Shercos. Lots of tumultuous history many once great (or not so great) European brands being sold then resurrected, then sold again, then resurrected again, then sold again... Looks like Bultaco is going to...
Lewis Phillips said he fears this may be another nail in the MXoN coffin... i disagree. So save for the tech advances in Helmets, MX gear is utter shit compared to what you could buy 40+ years ago. Gloves... Zero Protection at all, JT Flexon gloves were some of the best for comfort and protection. JT V2000, one of the best Body Armours ever made, i still wear one now, great shoulder and collarbone protection, and it also gives protection to head/neck hyperextension as well. Helmets. Yes they are ' better' but the Bell Moto 4 had removable lining, and...

I think concrete is perfect. No maintenance for the track owners and the same for everyone. Why not get it wet too if you really want to add rider skills into getting the holeshot. Hose it off before the start, then everyone will have to be captain clutch control right off the gate, ease it onto the dirt then pin it. If you really want to add to the skill level needed to get a good start and spread out the first turn crowd 😄

I can't be the only one that really misses Sudco. They had every Keihin part imaginable and some you would have never thought of.

Beta480RX Added a reply to California tyre regulations

There is a BIG exclusion list. Anything 10ply or greater is excluded. Some 8ply tires also can hit the 122 load index. Lots of light truck tires also are speed rated Q (99mph) so those are excluded from the regs too depending on what the definition of "large off road tire" actually is. Competition tires designed for motorsports Winter-type snow...
