Fox had to do something to stop the bleeding. I asked my 12 year old earlier this year if he wanted to try Fox. He scrunched his face and said it was for old fat guys. To the young moto crowd, there is nothing lamer than Fox. This should help turn that around.

That’s disingenuous while partially accurate. They have not consistently participated in prototype/motogp classes and have been absent since 2008. In production based road motorcycle racing, a closer allegory to MX/SX they have been everything from competitive to dominant across multiple disciplines and eras. Most notably recently Rea winning every 1K SBK title from 2015-2020.

Could you imagine a Brian Deegan TP199 team... They've done some fun racing with/against each other already. Would make some people's heads explode who think for some reason that they actually worry about hating each other for publicity shit they did as kids that made them both millionaires.

You'll be downvoted to hell for saying that. It's true and was the primary reason one of my favorite tracks from yesteryear got shut down. I went to the courthouse and heard the testimony and offered public comment on why it should stay open. They kept going back to noise and they had sound readings to back up their complaints. It was shut down a couple years into the four stroke revolution, and most of the bikes at the track were running with straight through racing pipes. They absolutely were, but they were prototype racers and concepts, and a thing some in this thread seem unable to grasp is that this is a prototype racer and concept, it's not for sale. Yamaha has a history of re-writing the game by supporting these efforts. Attacking the graphics is just such a head scratcher.

Good...maybe it will be the start of the death the loud ass 4 stroke. I love ICE engines, but the modern 4 stroke is responsible for A LOT of track closures.

I have the same feeling about the Spherical. No 22.06, useless Snell and weighs a ton. The Moto10 MIPS seems like the better option in spite of being placed "lower" in the lineup - for my money, even the MX-10 is more appealing then the spherical, with the weight and overall size reduced dramatically vs the MX-9 and 22.06..

I remember this other time they had a rough looking concept race bike with a poorly placed "cheap" looking swingarm sticker. That went NOWHERE - I'm sure they are super embarrassed.
