Since 86 CR250 restorations are about as prevalent as store bought titties in Hollywood-- I'll spare you all the gory details and bolt by bolt therapy I've been enjoying this winter. After untold hours, beer and $$ it is coming along but at a standstill now anxiously awaiting my cylinder to come back from Millennium. Ready for the virus all clear and some summer weather to see how it works..
I picked up this peach the end of January and started the process to bring it back to life. At that time there were maybe 8 or ten cases of the virus in the US, but I needed a project. You know the saying "idle hands are the devils workshop!"
I'm a fan of your bike builds. One of my favorite bikes from that era. The oem color combo screams early 90's! It is very rewarding bringing these old bikes back. Fixing everyone else's "fix" and doing it the right way. Keep up the good work.
It’s a 94 Honda Cr250 frame...just happened to be a good place to set the YZ tank at the moment....The YZ jumped in front of the CR in the restore line. I”m slowly gathering parts for the CR, it was all original but not a low hr bike, needs complete redo. But all the major stuff is there and usable. Every time I say I”m done building bikes, I buy another one... I have a problem for sure.... must stop buying bikes....😂
Another bike to the collection👍, looks to be in great shape. I'm jealous😀, u must have a few bikes in your collection now. Can you find me a 95 cr125 and send it over to New Zealand, lol😁. Did you end up finding a 92 YZ? Rodspindel, Bike looks good. Great job👍👌
That's badass ! I want one just cuz lol 1986 on a 110. Used to fart around the construction sites almost every afternoon. This is where Bernice Ayer Middle school in San Clemente is now. San Clemente used to have an annual parade, did wheelies up and down El Camino Real on it 1 year. Still have my '83 200X "Beach Cruza"
Nah man, no hater here😊😊 also love the banshees👍👍. Nearly swapped 1 of my 500''s for 1 but couldn't do it. Pretty rare here in NZ. Hope to find 1 in the near future. Shame about the engine bud.
I also cleaned my subframe myself which was alot of time and effort involved. As it was originally black powder coat, it took alot of getting off. Then having to hand sand it all, was hell. Think my hands still hurt.
Sorry to hear bout the heel bud😟, frame and swing arm look great. Prices for neglected bikes are crazy here in New Zealand also. Keep the up dates coming.👍
