2stroketango Added a reply to Tony Cairoli New Red Bull KTM Factory Racing MXGP Team Manager
10/19/2022 1:28pm Does this mean Di Carli's team is now owned by KTM since Claudio is taking a high level management position with them?

2stroketango Added a reply to 2022 west/east 250 class.
12/26/2021 1:08pm I wonder if he is doing the full season (full SX East, 250MX), I read that he was only doing select rounds of SX. Always hard to know with Hsu, sometimes announces plans then is nowhere to be seen at gate drop.
2stroketango Added a reply to #14: MXGP of Trentino / #15: MXGP of Pietramurata / #16: MXGP of Garda
10/21/2021 5:04pm From this article: https://gatedrop.com/brian-hsu-to-race-last-rounds-of-mx2-before-turnin… it appears Hsu is racing the last 5 rounds of MXGP in Italy. Plus he states he plans to race some SX in the USA in 2022.
2stroketango Added a reply to "Crazy Joe" Shimoda!!!
2/7/2021 8:48pm There are decent paying motorsports gigs (Super Formula, GT racing, Superbike & MX championships, etc.) domestically in Japan which don't require racers/riders to move abroad and learn a new language/culture. That alone dissuades most from pursuing something abroad. Only ones that are supported (by the OEMs/sponsorships, etc.) and have that curiosity/drive to succeed outside of Japan will proactively make the move...

2stroketango Added a reply to Silly Season...
11/6/2020 3:27pm On the most recent PulpMX show Matthes stated there was a shoot-out for an additional 250 seat at PC and rumor is Shimoda got it.

10/25/2020 8:54pm When he was coming out of amateurs, weren't Honda and Kawi both in hot pursuit of his services? Wonder if Kawi inquired about him before they finalized their roster for '21.

10/25/2020 8:51pm What does Coldenhoff's latest injury mean for his prospects? I can't see Yamaha wanting to take a risk without seeing his recovery and if he will be the same rider he has been the last year or so.
2stroketango Added a reply to MXGP Rumours/Silly season
9/21/2020 2:57pm I really wonder what his issues are since his departure from factory Suzuki. Are his handlers (Manager/Agent, etc.) giving him bad direction/advice or is it something about his personality (flakey, difficult to work with, etc.)? He's sabotaged his own career.
2stroketango Added a reply to Mitchell Harrison to the GPs
4/3/2019 6:42pm Yeesh, Hsu's career is basically done at the international level. So promising, but injures have devastated his progress.

11/29/2018 6:51pm Really interesting to see KTM/Husky dominate the market share in MXGP, seems like few teams go with Japanese OEMs now.

2stroketango Added a reply to MXGP of Great Britain - entries
5/30/2018 7:49pm His career is basically over now, isn't it? Tends to get injured a lot, plus early exits from two teams (BUD and Suzuki) I don't think help his image with other teams looking to sign riders. Sad, he was the next big thing in Europe at one point.
2stroketango Started a new thread Nagl to TM for 2018
11/8/2017 6:18am http://www.speedweek.com/mxgp/news/118293/Max-Nagl-ist-TM-Werksfahrer.h… I think Husky made the right decision to keep Anstie and Paulin over Nagl as they were both consistently getting better results. But Nagl on a very good day can challenge for wins and he definitely deserves to stay in MXGP, cool that TM is moving into the top class and they have a very good rider to help...

2stroketango Started a new thread New team for Brian Hsu
10/30/2017 6:20am http://www.mx2k.com/fr/actualite/mx-france/monster-bud-kawasaki-racing-… I know his star has fallen since his Suzuki exit, but I think BUD is a better supported team than the Mauer outfit he was with this year so hopefully this move can get his career back on track.

10/29/2017 3:20pm From the article, same to what he did this year at Mauer, MX2 championship but European rounds only.
