You need to learn how to read mate. The fact if I have a daughter or not doesn't even matter. I didn't put Lotte down because "she is a girl" and I never said "she only has one shot to prove herself". You make it sound as if I think she's "some stupid broad who needs to learn her place is in the kitchen". If that's what you conclude out of it, that's on you, not me.

I hope for her she reaches her goals, whatever they may be.

By the way, it depends on what those goals exactly are. Is she happy to just race in MX2 one day as a wildcard for example? Or does she want to race an entire season? Or does she want to reach top 10 in MX2? Fair enough, one can dream.

But that last option won't happen, ever. I can guarantee it. I understand this could be her ultimate dream, but it's a dream of many. They should advise her that careerplans should be decided rationally instead of emotionally. If she's happy racing around 30th place against guys twice her strength, fine with me. It's her life, her career, her dream. That doesn't mean I have to understand her choice. She has everything to turn into the new Alpha in WMX in a few years time. I can't understand why that should be denigrating her or her abilities. In my opinion, there are many girls who race who would give an arm to reach that goal. As far as I'm concerned, I believe she could break the 6 time championship record of Fontanesi quite easily. So tell me, why is that so wrong of me to think that?

If she proves me wrong in the future, I'll be the first to admit it and I'll eat the entire humble pie.

She is still pretty young, she can stay in EMX125 until 2024 to develop her skills and strength.
To be realistic this year’s rounds she should be happy to make the motos since she just moved up to 125 then next year she should be getting some points and 2023 be in top10.
If racing the boys her dream she should do it as long as she can, she has all her time to go race WMX in her 20’s.

I watched her (with my 2 young girls) race Sardegna a few weeks ago. She was super fast and really fun to route for. She showed great heart and after one of the motos looked like she was going beat up a lapped that got in her way. We loved it!

Has anyone ever made the cut at 14 in their first attempt?

Watched her in the ADAC, she flies, and a decent start round there will be all she needs, but you have to have single lap speed to even make the race, which is where most come unstuck.


Of course , if she can get to the point where she can qualify , in EMX250, she can just enter MX2 anyway. . And that would be the way i would go... anyone in EMX whos says ' thats not fair', can do the same, but they choose not to.

Prado was emx125 in his first year with 14.

She is fast for sure, all the best of luck and hope he turn out well.
She doesnt have so many seat time in the 125 but who knows.

Marek made the cut in his first try this year. (In Teutschenthal) Scored 30th. (He was born 18th April 2008)

Marek, van Drunen and Reisulins are the hot young trio to watch.

Kasimir Hindersson is 14 i think and he's a rider capable of scoring points. He raced last year a couple of races as a 13 year old and scored points, 12-17 for 15th OA at Lommel 2020.

Unfortunately he has been injured this season and just came back to racing.

Oh boy! Woohoo Race1 of EMX125 was something... the last laps.

Personally bummed that Mikula got bad start and is struggling with pace on the track in general... Top15 is far away. Marek doing decently and showing progress.

I didn't see it, as I was doing some 'scraping' on my Mill, but I heard Malin (so it was bloody loud) reacting to something that happened to Turalgio, in the 2nd 125 Moto. Hope he's OK, whatever happened.

Fact is, it's a good test to get your first race with the "big" boys under your belt on a track like Trentino. Good lap times is one thing, but if you fail to get a decent start, you can forget it. If she qualifies (I guess she will), she'll probably have an outside gate pick. Will be interesting to see how she does.

You go to GPs ( as do I, when I can - hopefully, next year , as 2 years without travel to Europe is 2 years too bloody many Sad ), so you Know just how bloody fast those youngsters are on 125s. If she qualifies, that's quite an achievement, as it would be for anyone.

I sure as hell don't think she'll 'storm' the class.

She's going to have a go - and that's a lot more than many ever do. She's 14 - she's got a lot of years to grow in the sport, further, if she chooses to stick with our sport.

She's got my respect for trying it (getting in MX2 in the future), but I'm afraid all she will get out of it eventually will be a disappointment. One that could've been avoided, because disappointments will come anyway during a career.

There's no shame in trying to get one or multiple WMX worldchampionships. Maybe she should ask Fontanesi (a multiple WMX worldchampion after all) how she felt racing the Valkenswaard MX2 GP in 2017, after qualifying 10 seconds slower than 20th place and getting lapped 2-3 times on Sunday.

Or why Livia Lancelot, Larissa Papenmeier, Mariana Balbi and others chose to make their debut in MX2 at flyaway GP's. That's no coincidence.
It's pretty sad you get downvoted for being realistic. Next thing they'll be saying you're a misogynist.
