The first (and last) triple-header of the season. Races are on Sunday-Wednesday-Sunday.

Additional classes:
Trentino: EMX125 and WMX (final round)
Pietramurata: EMX125 and EMX250
Garda: EMX125 and EMX250

Notice David Philippaerts on the entry list. The worldchampion MX1 of 2008 will race some GP's due to some sponsor obligations after all the EMX-riders of the team decided to split.

Dylan Wright will race the coming GP's on his own GDR Honda, but under the awning of Honda 114 Motorsports.

Renaux can be the new world champion this triple header. So awesome for him and yamaha after all the investiment in top riders in mx2.

Plus he was doing some french sx races with suzuki privater( he was with suzuki oficial germany) and now he is with a ktm.
I dont know what is wrong and what is behind those moves.

I think there's a few reasons.
I've herd the wmx min age is 15. But I don't know.
She is on a 125. So at a disadvantage to the 250fs.
And I'm pretty sure there plan is to race the men. She doesn't want to take the easier route and just race wmx. So she will go thru the ranks in emx125 and emx250 and try and get a mx2 ride. If she makes it she makes it with the boys. But when she gets to a stage where it seems like she won't make the cut. Then she will switch over to wmx. She has been making the podium at all the world juniors so she has potential.

That's a noble cause to try to make it into MX2, but in my opinion a lost one.

About 95% of the WMX-riders would have a hard time to qualify in EMX250, let alone to be able to ride top 10s. Especially on the tougher (sandier) tracks. There's no shame in that, that's just how it is.

In the kids classes there isn't much of a difference. It's when the bikes get heavier, the races get longer, and formost, the muscular difference between boys and girls get bigger, that the girls will always have to admit they're not fast/strong enough to compete.

People should just leave it as it is and don't try to predict a 14 year old girl racing in MX2 or EMX250 in a couple of years. It's not korfball we're talking about.

Don't get me wrong, I hope Lotte gets a wonderful career (she's probably faster now than I've ever been). Seems like the Dutch girls will remain the dominant nationality in WMX in the years to come. There's no shame in trying to win a WMX-title.

Again, it's noble that she wants to try it, but I don't see it happen.

DeStouwer , that's the thing, it won't happen if she doesn't try.

You improve when racing against higher competition. Staying 'down' generally doesn't lead to much improvement.

Racing against fast(er) riders, in a class with the right bike size for you, especially if you are age limited, before you transition to bigger bikes - and 250s are Not tiddlers, never have been - can only help you.

If she doesn't succeed, she has the chance to do WMX - heck, it may be what she wants to do, and not race in open gender classes - none of us really know.

With regards to Women in racing - hell, not all successful MX riders are Big Blokes - quite a few would be regarded as 'runts' by outsiders. I see no reason why the right female rider, cannot do pretty bloody well, in among blokes.

Lotte, may, or may not, be the 'one' to do that. To write her off before she actual has a (hopefully, extended) 'go', is wrong.

You improve when racing against higher competition. Staying 'down' generally doesn't lead to much improvement.

Racing against fast(er) riders, in a class with the right bike size for you, especially if you are age limited, before you transition to bigger bikes - and 250s are Not tiddlers, never have been - can only help you.

If she doesn't succeed, she has the chance to do WMX - heck, it may be what she wants to do, and not race in open gender classes - none of us really know.

With regards to Women in racing - hell, not all successful MX riders are Big Blokes - quite a few would be regarded as 'runts' by outsiders. I see no reason why the right female rider, cannot do pretty bloody well, in among blokes.

Lotte, may, or may not, be the 'one' to do that. To write her off before she actual has a (hopefully, extended) 'go', is wrong.

Fact is, it's a good test to get your first race with the "big" boys under your belt on a track like Trentino. Good lap times is one thing, but if you fail to get a decent start, you can forget it. If she qualifies (I guess she will), she'll probably have an outside gate pick. Will be interesting to see how she does.

Geeze De Steuwer, it's her first bloody time having a go at the EMX125 class, as far as I know..

You go to GPs ( as do I, when I can - hopefully, next year , as 2 years without travel to Europe is 2 years too bloody many Sad ), so you Know just how bloody fast those youngsters are on 125s. If she qualifies, that's quite an achievement, as it would be for anyone.

I sure as hell don't think she'll 'storm' the class.

She's going to have a go - and that's a lot more than many ever do. She's 14 - she's got a lot of years to grow in the sport, further, if she chooses to stick with our sport.

Yes ofcourse, qualifying this weekend will/would be an enormous achievement. But if she wants to get to higher classes, qualifying won't be enough anymore soon.

She's got my respect for trying it (getting in MX2 in the future), but I'm afraid all she will get out of it eventually will be a disappointment. One that could've been avoided, because disappointments will come anyway during a career.

There's no shame in trying to get one or multiple WMX worldchampionships. Maybe she should ask Fontanesi (a multiple WMX worldchampion after all) how she felt racing the Valkenswaard MX2 GP in 2017, after qualifying 10 seconds slower than 20th place and getting lapped 2-3 times on Sunday.

Or why Livia Lancelot, Larissa Papenmeier, Mariana Balbi and others chose to make their debut in MX2 at flyaway GP's. That's no coincidence.

That's a Lot.

It will be a very hard ask to qualify for the Motos, but, she's going to try.

WTF is to be criticized of that?

She's 14, yet you seem to want to write her off, straight away.

And, we - at least I - don't know what she intends for her future.

But, we (now, thanks to others here putting up the age rules) know she's entering the class she's allowed to enter.

She may well be intending to do WMX when she is allowed to do so, she may well intend to race in the Gender Open class that is MX2, eventually. Getting in early, with EMX125, is a good start, whichever way she goes.

She may well do something entirely different with her life, other than racing motorcycles. Her choice, as is her entering EMX125.

Most people, get 'disappointment' from their efforts, from time to time. In sport, most of the time, if winning is all it's about for them. It's how it goes, but, f**k me, I appreciate those that have a go, despite the odds against them. There's very, very few people that jump into something, and succeed, straight away.

I'll be watching to see if she gets through qualifying, and, if she does, how she goes. Good on the (very) young lady, she's doing something very, very different to most of her gender, and, of course, our gender.

I think you don't understand at all what I'm trying to say. I'm not criticizing her for trying to qualify in EMX125. It's a step-up class after all. And I'm not writing her off, on the contrary. I litterally stated I respect her for trying. Don't put words in my mouth that I didn't even use.

What I am saying is that I can't understand why she would dream (according to some people, it's not the first time this comes up) of a career in MX2 / EMX250 racing 25th-35th place all the time, when she has the potential to be top 5 or better in WMX in the not so distant future.

Dude, again,.... either you don't read my posts thoroughly or you don't understand them. I never said she doesn't have the right to do so. I never said what se should or shouldn't do. All I mean is, if I were a member of her entourage I would advise her to rethink it, that's all.

It's my right to think it's not a good idea as much as it is yours to think she should take the bet. That's why it's called a forum, you know.

Whatever, this could go on for days. I hope she does well.

She's literally one of the fastest 85cc riders in Europe. She has been one of the fastest riders in Europe in all the small classes. Why in the world wouldn't she aim and dream of a career in MX2?

Brother, I hope you don't have a daughter. Man, that is disappointing to read someone put a medal-winning EMX 85 rider d9wn just because of their gender.

For comparison, Marek won EMX85 and we were all stoked just for him to qualify in EMX125 a few weeks later. Now DeStouwer is implying that Lotte has one shot to prove if it will work out long term.

Glad to see only one bad apple in the group..

Set a goal - make a factory mx2 team
Keep revaluating the goals as she progresses.
If she slips to a 10th place 125 rider and 20th place in emx250. Then she will go over to wmx. Even if she tries till she is 21. She will still have 7-8 shots at a wmx title.
But so far she has be top 3 in her class against the boys every year. If she keeps it up there is no reason she can't make it. Liv was never top 3 against the boys courtney duncan got 9th when juniors were in nz. Both a fair way behind lotte at the same age
