Did he though...? Eli started off in a 50 point hole (his fault kinda yes) after the first two rounds with the crash/pant issue and then missing the next race with the shoulder. Not exactly “Straight up.” He dominated round 3 and continued through the season to be the clear best guy. His championship was lost literally lap 4 of A1. You can’t give any of these guys a 50 point head start and expect to win the championship no matter how many races you won.

Only person I can think of is Blake Baggett outdoors 2017. Don’t know anyone else in recent history who straight up passed Eli in sx or Mx and held the position.

Not many people have passed Tomac (on 450s) straight up. I’d be willing to bet we could count on one hand the number of people who have.

Reliable folks have confirmed the issue. He’s been trying to post ride pics/videos but his speed is so fast cameras have been unable to capture the images. Word is doctors are working with him now to help slow him down enough to keep the magazines and haters happy. Stay tuned.

Oh yeah i forget hes won as many races as the rest of the field combined for 2 seasons now despite taking 2 races off last season. Yes i understand he hasnt got the titles but its a matter of time.

Really hope it isnt a massive set back. It seems he could come in at 70 or 80% and still get it done. Hoping for another exciting series.
