11/4/2024 5:05pm At first, with an endoscope, I couldn't tell which part it was, then realized it's part of a gear when i looked in the manual, the possible corrosion is within the red circled area of the diagram. Both bikes are 2021 YZ125, purchased around late 2023. 2nd image is my son's bike, got it from owner who bought it new...

1/14/2024 12:30pm can't find a free 2018+ one. but chain slack, should be right around 2", chain slide at the front of swingarm, at the end of that chain slide to bottom of chain at the top side, should have a tiny droop to it. too loose, chain may come off, too tight, will put extra stress on engine. something like this...

1/13/2024 4:58pm lugging, i think INeedaNewUsername meant just going too slow most of the time to burn off enough of the oil . what you said, if so, on my brand new one, i was cleaning out the carb from sitting with original dealer gas for so long and changing out the jet block gasket to JD's, found that the float height...

1/13/2024 3:53pm I don't think it was lugged. The way the piston looks it never ran right. The carbon will not be an issue going forward.

1/13/2024 3:27pm I wouldn't use the decarbonizer. Just jet it right and run it. If you are really bothered, just buy a bade gasket wnr rings and manually clean the top end. Don't worry, just go ride

1/13/2024 3:26pm "lugging" i just thought about that, it had a shorty silencer, probably mostly ridden on tracks if not completely, the front number plate, upper forks and protectors all have tons of tiny dings everywhere, probably from lugging behind everyone else, getting roost constantly. lol.
