At first, with an endoscope, I couldn't tell which part it was, then realized it's part of a gear when i looked in the manual, the possible corrosion is within the red circled area of the diagram.
Both bikes are 2021 YZ125, purchased around late 2023.
2nd image is my son's bike, got it from owner who bought it new in late 2021, his son put about 10 hours on it, more like lugged it around for 10 hours. as shown, there are some small spots of what looks like rust, nothing major.
3rd image is mine, got it from owner who bought it new late 2021, never rode it, only started it to idle for 5 mins each month, kept in garage, then sold it to me in late 2023, also kept in garage. that same area looks to be like rust. does it look it rust? if so, the amount on there, should i be concerned or sleep like a baby?
The bikes will be in storage indefinitely for now, already drained tanks, carbs, put some oil in cylinders, now planning on filling the transmission cases completely to the brim with new motor oil, to make sure it does not rust or get any worse.
Thanks
Is that rust on transmission gear(s)?

Are you the same guy who posted this same question about a month ago?
Run it, it's fine.
yes, apologize for the sort of repost. the first time i wasnt sure what that part was, posted on reddit and one guy said looks like a crank rod, huh, lol.
as far as my scope can see, all gears are like new, weird thats the only gear that looks like that, including the teeth, the teeth shows the same signs of discoloration, but not as much as the image.
Thanks for your answer though, much appreciated 👍
