Don't know why, but there's something about the look of his riding style in that pic that I was thinking it was a British rider.

This one is probably easy but it a awesome picture nonetheless. Amazing what they did with 4 inches of travel back then.

Good guess......
But you mentioned his name,it's Eric Hall. Smile
Here is another I found of him (#58) on the web ,getting the hole shot at Hangtown on a stock bike I believe (qualifying I believe).

That top pic of the Dome brings back a lot of memories.....Were you there eddy in 90 when Larry and the Chicken had there battle. Another rider . Steve O was a bad MOFO on a bike wfo for sure. Also you had Lance Smail who turned pro at the end of 88 and ended up getting 3rd at the 89 Seattle sx on 125s that was pretty sweet......There were a lot of pros back then Smile

Yes I was there in 1990.....
A fast mini rider from that area (Chad Reed from Oregon) & myself sorta started a huge snow ball fight in the lobby of the host hotel on airport way where sign up was at that year. Smile The hotel staff was so pissed lol,fun times!
Also Mike Bell from the Northwest made the 250 main that year & Brett Woodring I believe made the 125 main along with Tony Graves and some other fast NW pros......some guys got stuck on I5 due to the snow and didn't make it,so it opened
up some spots for the local guys.

I was also there the at the last race that Larry won up there.
Went to them all I think from 78-79ish when the had double headers to the last one).

Also,Smail was a bad ass!
Remember the old McCormick double at PIR on the far side of the track?
I'm pretty sure Lance cleared that double before Jason was even on a 125.
I remember seeing Lance do it during press day 1990 the Thursday before the national.
That was when lance had that short little airport shuttle looking school bus rig.....
They took sharpies and wrote Smail and his number all all over it.

yeah I remember that night when the Mike Bell Made the main in the 250 class and the funny thing was The north west local David Baily put his #989 Yamaha in the 125 main.

Don`t remember that double but Lances little van thing was crazy, I remember him and Chris Neal rolling around in that thing for a while. I saw Lance put bikes in some mains over the years that were pretty junky. He knew how to twist it though and his long legs made up for lack of if any suspension work lol

I think some of the best races though were the Huffman, MaCormick, Ulven battles

Yeah man, 1991 Seattle SX during the morning AM races ,125B was a McCormick & Huffman battle.....til Huffman cased a double and his radiator exploded, smoke every where. I used to have it on VHS ,my sister recorded it,but I havent been able to find the tape to save my life. LOL
Their battles in the 80 class were epic also.

Yep....in 91 they did put those bumps before the triples, then removed them for pro practice & the day qualifiers.
JMB & MC won that night.

Would be cool to see some of those old battles.
Didn't Jason always 84 & Ryan run 48?

Ahh that's right....I knew it had an 8 in it.

McCormick's Uncle (Jeff Wright) who always used to hang around the races/their rig with them
often back in the day was on Fox News and Friends yesterday morning (some folks may remember him).
He was surprising his kids at School when he returned from Afghanistan.
