I’m pretty confident they’ll do that on their own.
Oh snap looks like zx moto has a 300 2 stroke now. If its cheap as hell these will crush.
Skidplate mounting bolts on the side of the frame (instead of bottom) is actually a good idea.
Hmmm... EFI 2 stroke. That's not easy to get right in terms of hit and throttle response.
Interesting to see what the tests say...

$189.95 - $239.95
I would have rather probably seen a carbed 2 stroke but china loves electronics so that was probably a non starter.
No offense, Mav!
Not sure how a random YouTube comment from a nobody is gonna offend someone.
I was offended by the lack of punctuation, took me 3 tries before it made sense..
The KOVE project is death in the water if I can believe the rumors. Their isn't much cooperation between the "Factory team" & KOVE is what they say...
Another one.
This is interesting too... I'm usually ok with the boutique brands and their specialty bikes. My next buy will probably be a Beta XTrainer for example.
But all of these models are more focused on the mainstream MX market, from Kove, ZXmoto, JHL, REX, etc. I like that it seems this one might have a motor with a different design than all the others that seem to be coming from the same plant. If it's truly a Vertimati design, it might be the exception to the thought that they are all coming out of the same plant.
The motor is presumably Vertemati's design handiwork; if so, that differentiates it - potentially. However it appears to be a conventional twin cam design, nothing special.
The 450 motor they developed for Nicot last year was far more innovative, but all seems quiet on that front sadly.
Interesting. The factory team must have done loads of testing. Something wrong with the bike? Check from china bounced?
Tom Steensels:
“I have indeed decided to end the project with KOVE, as they were unable to provide the necessary budget to compete in a full MXGP season at a professional and competitive level”.
“But as a fellow team manager recently said: “When one door closes, another one opens.”
“And sometimes, that new door leads to even greater opportunities”…

The guy wasn't able to get the thing going fast enough to clear the jumps on that track. I'm guessing the 40hp rating they quoted for the engine is being pretty generous. Seems a bit more like a bike you'd see for sale at Harbor Freight or Rural King than a motorcycle dealership.
Or even a Buccees or Western Auto😂
Pit Row
The supermoto version of that Nicot bike looked really nice last year , i didnt get to see what they were running this year at Mettet, but it was branded Jitsu of something similar .
The original bikes were rapid, i still have the first MX one sold in the UK in 1998, and one of the silver ones behind my TV.
I wont be buying one over a Ducati or Triumph.
Do you have a time stamp for that? Cause I didnt see it when I watched
This thing looks GOOD!
I watched it myself and did not see any jumps that the rider failed to clear due to a lack of power. There were some rollers that he hit a little differently a couple times , but I did not see any jumps that he was coming up short on due to a lack of power. I'm not familiar with the skill level of that rider, so perhaps if You compare him to somebody like Jet Lawrence who is super smooth and perfectly downsides everything, well then I could see some instances where he came up short. But without knowing what the rider normally looks like when they ride, I don't see anything that sticks out to me.
Was it the revving the crap out of the bike that made somebody think it was underpowered? Well in that case You could say the same thing about Deegan's Star 250 and 450. And just about every bike that Barcia has ridden.
I have no idea if the bike is any good or not, and that video did nothing to make me think that its not good. I thought it looked like a decent 250f. But I would like to know what I'm missing and a timestamp would help. Of course this is the internet so its just as likely that somebody is just looking to get others fired up .
It's curious, why motocross bikes and racing? Suzuki has already shown bike sales are more lucrative in other maker segments. The Japanese manufactures have a racing heritage, and some potential hubris regarding their legacy. Triumph and Ducati have an image to withhold too, these Chinese manufacturers don't.
My best guess is it's all about the level of legislation in the target market. Europe and the US road going segments are going to be tough to enter due to barriers like the EPA and DOT etc. The fact that Kove already makes licensed vehicles really makes me wonder what they have to gain.
Kove out.!?
from what i red last week
The only thing to be gained is brand awareness.
Maybe they're competitive and like racing? It's the only reason that other manufacturers do it...
The other brands got in to racing because the founder had a passion for it, and they typically don't want to exit it now. Not sure how these Chinese companies are structured. I do know they're targeted industries that get subsidies.
ZX founder and CEO is mad about racing (how many CEO sleep under a tent in Dakar?). Racing improves the breed and proves the level of the bike and reliability much more than any YouTube vids will ever do. Once you see it racing MXGP you stop questionig if it can clear this or that double. And of course marketing.
ZXmoto just started selling road bikes on the European market, road homologation is not an issue, same for Kove, CFMoto and so on.
