Dear Maxima, fix your DAMN FFT bottles so they stop spilling everywhere. Your filter treatment is a 10/10 but your bottle is retarded. End rant.

Don't remove the entire foil seal from the opening, put some small holes in it to let small amounts of the FFT out and onto your filter. This might help with a spilling problem too. If that doesn't work, try replacing the bottle with one from Aunt Jemima or similar syrup bottle. They have a closeable spout end which won't spill if shut.

Yep.

Small hole with a smaller hole opposite side.

Like an old oil can.

Genuinely genius. I’m doing this from now on haha. Thanks!

Funny enough that I just had a bottle of FFT that fell in my garage a few weeks ago, cap was on tight and didn’t break. It did come off and somehow it spilled everywhere. Lost about half the bottle. First time I’ve had that happen with the cap on. Obviously it had to have been my fault in one way or another, but funny timing of this post.

Simple fix. Replace cap with dish soap bottle. allows you to control flow when applying oil to filter.

I always transfer to clear bottles because I'm a dumbass and will save an almost empty bottle and not remember to reorder. Clear bottles give me a constant reminder of what I've got left.

Punch 2-3 small holes in the seal under the cap. Don’t pull that seal off!! you can turn it upside down and very little spills until you squeeze the bottle and force it out. been doing this for years! Put the cap on the bottle when finished.

As been mentioned, I transfer mine to a condiment bottle..works pretty good for adding oil to the disposable profilters that come a little light on oil.

Here I am dunking the whole damn filter into a Tupperware container full of FFT. Looks like I'm going to try the foil hole trick.

I prefer this method at home as it ensures proper coverage, but the holes in the foil are great for while out on the road and doing filters.

This is my first year doing the dunking method. I usually just purchase the Maxima spray in the can. I like the coverage, but I cannot get all of it out during the cleaning process. I used the Maxima air cleaner, but I still have a ton left in the filter. I thought about using kerosene but I don't want to ruin filters.

Dude, Idk how you're getting downvoted. Worst cap design in the history of bottles. They constantly leak.

I’ve used gasoline for years with 0 issues!! I dumped them in the gas, squeeze all the oil and dirt off of them, and then take the compressed air and blow them dry!! you can’t leave the filters lay in the gasoline for more than two or three minutes or they’ll destroy themselves!! but a minute or two getting the oil and dirt out is just fine!! I’ve done it like this for 40 years!

I've used gasoline for years and now I use commercial solvent tank at work and my filters look better than my son's using the Maxima filter cleaner but I don't think he does it right LOL
