Fair point about contracts, however I wouldn’t use Chase as my example. I have real questions about whether the Kawi contract means anything to Chase. Other than something to try and get out of. Where there’s smoke there’s usually fire. Neither him leaving nor staying will surprise me.
Regardless he’s not going to Ducati….

good stuff. Where is this quote from? Is this for 2027? I thought he had a deal already through 27. If he was just leasing bikes & doing his own program you’d think they woulda kept Webb around or signed another title contender, so sounds to me like maybe that’s further down the road.

Not what I meant in the feature, it means he won't be riding at The Farm as much as he moves around tracks more and he's not working with Swanny as a trainer now.
Deegan is building his new compound about a mile from star. Seems the plan is to take what he likes from star and do everything else his own way, and star is going to let him do it. On some level this isn't unreasonable for your A guy and tomac obviously did his own thing, but others have also recently complained about how rigid the star program is, so you have to wonder how that's going to sit with everyone when the special treatment is up close and in their face.
Win races and titles and get the special treatment. Davies will probably get special treatment too if he keeps winning like he’s been.
Interesting when he hasn’t even done a supercross season yet. You would think Star would want him chasing and being chased by the pack they have. Wonder who will be his riding partners.
So who is sexton training with now?
He’s a great test rider and he’s smart and a good example for those around him.
If it's true that he is going to N Florida my guess would possibly be at the new Reed/Grant facility near Milton.....
So what's the official deal with Sexton? Sorry if I missed it in the other 23 pages, but last i checked in there was seemingly no way he was back at kawasaki last year.

There’s absolutely zero information out there, just speculation. All that’s being said is that it’s looking more likely that he stays than it was before but nobody knows anything for sure.
The official deal is he has two years left on his Kawi contract....everything else is just speculation mixed in with crazy theories...everything indicates he's staying put....

Yeah, but I just can’t see a rider of Chase’s caliber hanging on with a bike that he is clearly not happy with for two more years. With the level of competition in the 450s now, he can’t be at all willing to let the machinery keep him from any chance of winning a title, can he?

He's making serious bank from Kawi and his other sponsors, so he's probably biting the bullet and will let how 2027 goes determine if 2028 will happen or not. I'm curious if we see a shakeup in Kawi's leadership.
Let's be a little patient and see what happens within the team after the season....

He has burned the bridges behind him with KTM (include any Husky team as Roger oversees all).
He left Honda because he didn't want to share a #1 role with Jett, and he's not sharing with both of them. Some other sponsor would have to front the cash because Honda isn't.
Yamaha has Deegs. See above. Chase ain't doing that.
Triumph? You think he wants to develop a new bike from scratch essentially wasting another season?
Ducati? See above and factor in the potential financial stability concerns that have been expressed?
Suzuki? One quasi-reasonable option if Ken retires, WSX folds, and then PMG races Nat's instead.
Quad-Lock? Second quasi reasonable option because Yarrive is smart, could get the sponsorship $ to cover both the cost of Chase and the leased HRC bike.
Add in that Kawasaki management has to take a massive second ego hit after the 1st of Prado.
Is there a chance? Sure. About the same chance of my wife getting the Dahm triplets to come over to the house and babysit me when she is on vacation with her sister.
But there is still a chance!
I'm too lazy to look and too old to remember, but didn't Chase get two 450 SX wins this past year on green? I think he got a 2nd at Detroit also. And the guy missed some races in between. I mean.............really, there's literally a ton of riders who would kill for a win. Kill for a podium. Tomac was on fire early, Hunter was good the whole year. Roczen kicked ass. Throw in Webb, Copper and a few others, and it was a tough field. If Chase would want out of Kawasaki, it's quite ridiculous. More power to him if he thinks switching is going to propel his chances for a championship. Me thinks he wouldn't have better results and if he stays healthy he'll improve from 2026 staying on green.
He hasn’t burned his bridge with ktm. They literally had an offer for him to stay when he went to Kawi.
