These away races should have low cost entries for Local riders to fill the gates.

When it's way past The Back Of Bourke, as Darwin is from Everything, low cost entries won't get the majority of High End OZ Riders and the Teams  here in OZ ( or, get those Dastardly Kiwis )to it!

Just checked - Darwin is 3150ks from Sydney in a Straight line . Closest major city, Bris Vegas, you'd top up near on 3500 ks driving - there's No driving straight there.

Darwin - well, anywhere in OZ would - build a Great Track, there'll be plenty of spectators - after all, all you can do there is swim with Crocagators!

I'll try to get there next year, expense be buggered. Couldn't get there this year, because She Who Must Be Obeyed, wanted to see Suzanne Vega - well, me too, actually - it was a wonderful concert!

IMG 9488 1.jpeg?VersionId=jUUdTOhX.Yep it’s expensive to get to this one cost $6500 in flights and accommodation for the 4 of us for the 4 days we’re here.

But here’s some crocs for ya

Don't want No Crocs!

Sooner or later, some pr**k is going to let a 'too big" pet in my river 100 meters away from my house, and it's gonna get Me!

Crocs, like Sharks (and Drop Bears), have my name tattooed on their schnozes, and they all want to Eat Me!

I can sort the bloody Drop Bears, the little Bastards, but Not those Maritime Murderers!

It's interesting to see that Guillen and Van Drunen are off the pace of Turner in WMX US but then Turner is off from their pace in WMX Euro.

What are the USWMX Motos  : 12 minutes +?

MXGP WMX : 25 minutes + ?

Different things.

But, I'm sure any of the top Women can adapt. A good start and LT could do much better, tomorrow morning. They mentioned she does training with her brother and other blokes, with far longer motos.

Me, I was hoping Mama Kiara could get her 7th - nothing against Guillen, or  Lotte - they've got plenty of years left, I would hope.  I even like Courtney, despite her being a Dastardly Kiwi 😁.

Yeah but Lachlan was still 3 seconds off from pole in practice whereas she was much faster than Daniela and Lotte in the USA.

It's not as if they were in Loket, Teutschenthal or Lommel.😅

BUGGER!

Thought WMX Moto 2 was on at 10.30, went for an early morning 'putter' on the CRE.

Admittedly, I did 'Turn Turtle' a couple of unplanned times, so got back a bit late.

So, I guess Guillen won, the OA and Championship ?

Well, good on her.

Bloody fast ladies!

Let's see if they get the replay up, before the 12.30 MX2 1st Moto.

Hope the weather doesn't turn too 'Tropical', and moto(s) don't get rained out like last year.

Pretty cool to have the KTM Group + Yamaha stranglehold on MX2 broken.

For fellow Aussies, if you have 2  screens going, SBS has Romaniacs on on Speedweek at the moment.

He sounded very rough yesterday

Congrats to Farres, dude really took the bull by the horns in this championship. One of the more consistent MX2 championship runs I can recall from recent years

Huge congrats to Triumph, 1-2 in the championship. Relatively new to the game and they already have a fabulous 250.

Farres held his nerve under pressure in the final quarter of the season and McLellan has been on fire of late.

Whole team has earned a beer or 3 tonight!

Such a shame all titles were decided oversea’s

Anyways wonderful to see Farres taking the championship. I remember him grinding out moto’s on his final EMX125 season at our local track. You obviously hope to see a talented and humble kid like that grow into being a top competitor, but I never expected him to be able to win a world championship a few years later. Especially knowing the amount of injuries and other issues he had at the start of his 250 career.

His first team didn’t have the funds to give him the best race bike. KTM put Braceras on the factory support team. He then went to Raths motosports, the owner definitely saved his career. He got his opportunity at Star Yamaha, but got benched in a brutal way days after breaking his arm (which was a pure start racing incident). Then he went to Husky. Did well at supercross but due bike issue he broke his leg and got benched again (KTM had their financial issues) and got the opportunity at Triumph. They made it work and now he is a World Champ. Absolutely beautiful.

Triumph also gave mcLellan a golden opportunity and he has all the momentum for next year to take it home
