Im sure he will say something at some point.

If true, how long will the ban be, 5 years?

Track looks easy to me if I compare with others. Suprised how many crashes I see from MX2 Julek Mikula.

Fuuuudge... That's fucky situation if true. Basically done for until his 30th birthday... He always oozed talent and speed... but lacked funds. Too bad. Hopefully things turn alright.

I just watched the China MXGP highlight on YouTube.  My DVR supposedly recorded the 2nd MX2 & MXGP motos from the CBS Sports Network live broadcast of those motos.  That's what the cable guide said.  But when I went to play them back today I had two hours of the US Poker Open or something like that.

BITE ME CBS SPORTS NETWORK!!!

By the team or FIM? I guessed he’d split with the team but I didn’t know the circumstances

As probably one of the only Westerners (non Russian) who attended as a fan, it was the most bizarre GP I’ve been to, but I did really enjoy it. Once Chinese riders, teams and bikes are more of a threat I think it could be a huge event

How many races did S. Coenen crash his brains out this year though? One tough guy he is

Next year S.Coenen will wear Alpinestars MX air that will help him alot i think.

Yup, there was a thread made about that yesterday.

It was also re-aired last night on the same channel. I set my drv hoping for the best, Watching MX2 right now, good race!

to my knowledge it is NOT anything related to performance enhancing.

It was really bad for him at Foxhill with the crash with Van Donick, apparently it shook him up.

Im sure the kid will be back at some point...

Agreed. I went last year. Crowd seemed much bigger then. Stands looked EMPTY last weekend!

But yeah, as the moto scene continues to grow in China (I don't really see anything standing in the way of that at the moment), the event will only get bigger and I could see having even two rounds within the country, eventually. I'd love to see one in the western region that takes advantage of that amazing scenery and natural elevation changes out there.

I don't want to start something new here, but he lost his brother in law this winter. A bad crash could have shaken him mentally as well.. that is a huge hit on your mental health, obviously

I wonder who made the decision to leave the old track just a few clicks further up the road, which was very pleasant to watch, to race at this Mickey Mouse-shit instead. And by calling it that, that's even offending Mickey Mouse.

Would have made a good SMX track.
GP track, not so much.

Ignoring the fact there were no riders, the MX2 races were great , the facility was unreal, the track is OK, just about, the worst thing was the board placements, holy shit how many were there, and how many places were there that the boards totally obscured the riders view of the track in the turns.

As a spectator, it must be horrific.

I dunno. Those seats look pretty comfortable. Track kicked the absolute shit out of Columbus SMX track which I attended.

Have to say the seats were way too small to be comfortable. The boards did also kinda spoil the view, especially from pit lane
