Triumph took less than an hour to turn down my buy back request on my 25 450 RC

Triumph can do as they please... if they want to get a rep for great customer service, they cut the check and buy it back... seen that dozens of times in my life on various cars, trucks and bikes...

No... they defff aren't mandated to do it... absolutely not... you are correct there...

BUT.... is cutting a 15k check actually saving cash vs a thread like this that will run off dozens/hundreds of potential buyers???

Then there's just doing the right thing..... which of course, u think is unthinkable... Yet still exists in this world by some companies....

plus....

Triumph is loaded rn.... their sales have tripled worldwide since startin to sell those Bajaj 400s... they have the cash... they just run by people like you....

They are fixing the bike. Its not like they told him to just eat it.    He is being a bit over the top about it.

I can understand being a bit bummed about the issues. And it taking a while to get them fixed.  But that's not really a valid reason for the company to buy a bike back.

If I came across this thread and was considering buying a Triumph.  And I already knew about the recalls , this thread would have no impact on my choice to buy or not. In my opinion the OP is making themselves look worse than Triumph .

It wouldn't hurt for Triumph to offer their customers something for the time lost riding.  But its a bit unrealistic to expect them to buy the bike back because there is a recall and  a wait for parts.

As I sit here and wonder what the cost of a compete engine is from the factory in Thailand & I’m assuming Triumph has all these issues figured out on the newer 26-27 engines…

Why aren’t they simply sending new crate motors to the affected dealers to fix this “multitude” of problems and show some good faith to all involved?

Fix it and sell it. Take the hit and pick another color.  There are so many great bikes to choose from. Best of luck to you.

Have you seen the resale on triumphs? They are horrible. That alone would have me never buying one. I’ve seen a few of them listed on market place locally for like $4500 for a long time.

Me Too!   The point of this thread along with the previous thread regarding the tranmission issue's is to let Triumph know if I lose you lose.  I am starting to think they knew of the problems when they reduced a 10999 bike to what i paid which much less.   I don't appreciate that crap.  I have raced moto since 1974, I'm 61 years old and still faster than most of the punks making these idiotic comments.  I may lose this one but so will Triumph!!!!!

When ever at anytime does a manufacturer buy a vehicle back for a recall unless the vehicle has no possible fix for the discernable future, is deemed such a massive safety risk that it cannot be sold and is an extreme case. I don't think ever really? There is a fix out now, recalls are being done so why would they buy it back? It sucks, sorry to hear your situation. Best is to get it back repaired, then trade it in or sell it.

What does your bike say on the steering head?

Made In ….?

I think that will explain a lot.

As the guy who started the original thread about all the issues with these i can tell you why he bought the bike. The 250 and 450 arel awesome bikes.

The fit, the feel, the ride, the way the pegs kind of force your feet into the frame and to keep your toes inside. They'r  really, really great bikes to ride once they're sorted.

Unfortunately in this sport We mast have the best equipment what is already sorted out or We can end up in hospital really fast .  Let someone else sort it out someone who is getting paid for that kind of stuff . And if somebody buys bike what is not sorted out , well good luck to him.

So after seeing all you posts I do believe you were stupid enough to buy a Triumph because it "  Looked Cool " and you did it after you been around all this time then you are one dumb MFer. I think you got exactly what you deserved. No wonder Triumph told you to fuck off.  🤣

Triumph's new slogan should be

"Making TM Moto looking like a reasonable purchase since 2024."

Seriously, this kind of grade school tantrum by the OP makes me want to get a Triumph.

A 10yr old stuck in an old man's body.

No wonder Triumph told you to pound sand. Surprised the dealer just isn't leaving your bike on the sidewalk for you to pick up whenever, but you are probably the type to sue too.

The OP is 61 years old acting like a 6 year old. The world isn’t fair. Sell the bike after the recall repairs have been made, take the hit, and buy another bike.

It’s not that difficult of a solution to come to
