Is it possible Jett lets Hunter win this weekend?

Hunter has been through a lot this year. I know, this might be very controversial, and I’m not even saying this is the case. But All I’m asking is, is it possible that Jett will subtly let his big brother win the championship?

So you are asking if Jett would “race fix”?

If folks are betting on motorsports - wouldn’t that have legal ramifications?

Unlikely, he's not subtly when he lets other riders win...

The boos that he got at Anaheim 2 after this and the Anderson incident were deafening.

Jett is chasing records so no, he's not going to let his brother win the title.

I dare say he knows that Hunter would rather lose than be given a championship.

Anything is possible, but I think we're going to see a relatively dominant 1-1 sweep by Jett.

I do think he wanted to give his brother a shot instead of going in with a 10-15 point lead.

I believe Hunta would be pissed if he didn't win fair and square. Getting gifted a title would stamp a permanent asterisk on it and any truly competetive soul could never accept that.

That would be an insult to Hunter.

Ping just posted something about this to Social Media on his Whiskey Throttle channel. He admitted it was tin foil hat type of shit but he broke it down in terms of potential financial ramifications and if you look at it purely from the perspective of growing the overall Lawrence family fortune....it was logical.
Personally I think they both go for the win and let the chips fall

It would severely damage their relationship if 18 let 96 win.  The only way this race goes down on Saturday is honest effort from both boys and whoever wins, wins.  Hunter would be livid if Jett gave up so he could win.

Hunter has already extended his contract so Ping has part of it incorrect.

Not trying to stir the pot here, but after watching the latest "This is Lawrence" vlog, during the Jett interview portion Hunter seemed a little agitated and the brothers weren't their normal light hearted selves. Jett kept smacking Hunter's back and just seemed weird. Things felt off...

I saw a post on the ultra reliable FB that was posted 6hrs ago that claimed he broke the same ankle in a practice crash. Immediately came here expecting this place to be ablaze and...nothing.

The AMA "gifted" Jett last week when he went off track on the start like Kitchen and was accelerating. It's obvious he was accelerating because he wasn't losing ground to the riders actually on the track start straight. Did he gain position? no. Was he accelerating? Of course. Should he have been docked positions and the AMA stay consistent? Absolutely.

So if Hunter loses this championship, by a couple points to Jett, then the AMA gifted Jett a championship. So why would Hunter feel worse if Jett gifted it to him?   Now we have to have an asterisk by the championship in the 450 class if Jett wins the title and that sucks.

Ridiculous take. You must be blind. Jett clearly LOST positions when he went off track. Go re watch the overhead video.

As someone that has a brother close in age and have raced each other for the better part of 30 years, there’s not a chance in hell that one of them “lets” the other win.

Theres no shot he lets him win, but if jett has to clean him out last corner zacho style to get the win hes not doing that to hunter.

You guys only add to his power. You’re in a Jett vs Hunter convo talking about Deegs. Go start ANOTHER Deegs post if you want to talk about him,  it’s true what people say around here, he literally lives rent free in all your heads.

Jett doesn’t lay back, he lays the wood. Stamp it

Doubling down on a horrible take. At least you’re more consistent than the ama

I have little doubt they’re both going to give it everything. That being said as much as Jett may hate losing the title I do believe he’d take solace and some joy in the fact it was Hunter.
