Idk man. The bike is still extremely stable. Also, he was fast as balls on one of the most unstable modern bikes ever made. What that bike did exceptionally well, however, is turn. Additionally, Chases main complaint was that the couldn’t get the Kawasaki  to turn how he wants. Also, maybe ML can confirm but every factory bike of every brand run axle all the way out. Thats not a Kawasaki specific thing.

Or something in the set up is taking away from the turning ability. Or it’s so front end bias it knifes. Not turning well could be the bike over or under steering.

Levi’s style lends to the rear being low. He’s often off the back of the bike.  It’s almost impossible for us to judge stuff on tv. Do we know how hours day had been set previously?  Are they actually running lower or is it what we think we see?

I don't think I saw his forks compress the entire 1st moto, it honestly was shocking.  Moto 2 looked like they changed the bias a little, more towards normal Levi.

Ok, not trying to be rude, but what’s your point?  You are guessing on set up changes they may or may not have made, without having any baseline knowledge of where they started or how the bike is set up. Or even knowing what Levi is feeling with the bike and what he would like to improve.

I think it solves the Sexton and Prado mystery with the Kawasaki.  They stand a lot and rely on predominatly front wheel for cornering. If the bike is twitchy, they aren't going to be able to trust it in corners.

They would have to rake it out to get more stability (Like Levi).

But a more twitchy chassis would work well for riders that sit more and keeping their weight back (Marchbanks)

Not sure what this proves. They are in slightly different parts of the track 5-6 feet off and what they did over the previous bumps will affect how they are loading the suspension (or not) on the subsequent bumps.

that's why I included the video, Hymas bottoms like a normal setup. This screen grab of Levi is the lowest the forks compressed in that section, but you can see the rear bottoming so it's not like he found a magic rut.

Didn't have to search hard, this was literally the first non-drone shot I could find.   Like I said, looked raaaaaked the entire moto 1.

Levi is carrying noticeably less speed and evidence by Hymas airing off the roller and kitchen keeping his wheels on the ground.

He may have had a bad setup moto 1. Maybe his forks were stiff or too much sag or any multitude of other setup decisions. We don’t know.

There can be an identical chassis on the two bikes but one would handle wildly different based on the size of the motor. You can’t use a 250 to prove your point here.

Perhaps that's why Sexton tried Kitchen's setup but didnt stick with it.  Helped a little but didnt translate directly to the 450.

Also explains how Chase won A2? but didnt stick with the setup, it worked fine if he could take his time and ride the main like but makes it difficult to get into the flow and make passes if you're not able to corner how you like.

I'm a fan of Fineis now, I think regarding the Club story, it's fair to say there's probably another side to that but I took the interview as someone giving their unfiltered prospective on how they ended up more or less washing out of the sport for a bit. It's hard to argue the Club program isn't working for a lot of people, it's also hard to argue that Fineis isn't exceeding expectations while being a bit unorthodox. It was a bit cringeworthy him not knowing certain people that are likely a large part of his current rise to the front but it's not like he's been with the team long and I feel like that's to some degree understandable when put on the spot. Hopefully he apologized to the appropriate team personnel if there was any issues there.

It is hard to argue that Chase was meeting expectations on the Kawasaki compared to his potential, whether that is completely his fault or not. I think any reasonable person would say chase Sexton is a better racer than Fineis but he's paid a lot more as a result. Of course he's under more of a microscope performance wise. I'm sure a dig from someone who is riding well but not in the "should be winning races" conversation was not well received, especially while injured. Who can blame the guy?

If Fineis backs up his performance again this weekend and next, I'm a bigger fan. If not, then hopefully there's a bit of a reality check in how words can come back to haunt you but the point remains: I think what we heard in that interview is someone that has realized that they are not going to fit in well at the pro scene anyway so they might as well be themself, I can respect that.

Is Club even racing outdoors? Cant remember anyone upfront this season but maybe I’m not paying close enough attention. To me the team has a lot of resources but really hasn’t done a ton except in regional SX where the talent is split in half.

They just benched Simonson from outdoors so he can get ready for WSX.

Anyone hear of the CS to Kove with a high dollar Temu title sponsor?

Guessing a joke on a video.  Prol AI

Prol could get a lot of money however.

Coty Shock got injured b4 the season.  I was going to pick a rider to root for to make it more fun.  So I picked Coty & he never raced.  I think he woukd hv done well.

A bit harsh...dark comedy for sure...but I give a tip of my comedy visor.

I read a lot of comments on here before I listened to his segment on Pulp, and I was expecting MUCH harsher comments on Club and a disrespectful kid regarding the team personnel thing. I heard neither.

He took just as much accountability for the Club split as he put on them, and he was already apologetic about not knowing the team managers name.

Awkward kid? Definitely. But he knows exactly who he is and he didn't try to make a huge change to fit in at a team/facility that wasn't going to workout anyway.

I'm here for anyone with the talent to top-5 a 450 national moto after asking to take a selfie with Mookie on the line beforehand.

If you're talking about snacks, I don't think Chase will be interested. But his dad certainly will...

If I'm not mistaken, the set-up was taken from Kitchens 450 that he practices with, not his 250.

Renthal RM-Low Asymmetrical Extra Low/Low.  They didn't sell very well so that bend was discontinued.

If chase rode around in 15th place he wouldn't be tucking the front end either.

Renthal RM-Low Asymmetrical Extra Low/Low.  They didn't sell very well so that bend was discontinued.

I'm pretty sure he was experimenting with road race clip-on handlebars. Didn't catch on for moto.

Nothing about the Fineis interview gave me confidence this is the beginning of a sustained comeback. Shit on basically everyone he talked about, took no ownership for the past failures and basically said everyone should let me do what I want, vague "health issues, " didn't know who his current team manager was.... and I still almost felt bad for him because he still doesn't seem to realize he's being laughed at and not with half of the time.

Having spent many years at ClubMX, I felt his pain when he shared his struggles with fitting in and feeling alone at the facility. From the outside looking in, most people assume it's Disneyland for dirtbikes, but in layman's terms it's a lot like high school on steroids; let's just say having a group of high strung, ego driven, hyper competitive, spoiled kids living on the same property together can be mentally taxing for a grown adult, let alone children. Full disclaimer, this isn't mutually exclusive to ClubMX and is an issue with most reputable training facilities.

Be that as it may, his relatability diminished as he delved further into why he stopped racing. He leads with "I know my body better than anyone" (when he's was barely a legal adult) and then switches to "my body was shutting down" a few minutes later. Through all of his health struggles he didn't once question that he was responsible for his well being, yet is eager to blame everyone else for how things went. I can understand some of the resentment but he went about it rather poorly.

I liked his initial character and care-free attitude, even the Chase comment was pretty funny. Massive respect to anyone turning pro without the help of a factory team. His interview was going great, but he lost me with his bitterness.

He'll grow and learn. He's just a kid. I'll be rooting for him 🤘

I’m pumped for the kid, I also agree with Camo’s assessment. I also remember the early ’90s when I left my parent’s house and thought I knew everything. I figured out later that I didn’t know shit.

not knowing how to do laundry at 19 is not a flex..

But does he know how to submit a W-9 to get payout?
