Thats looks like a pretty hard hit. After seeing his face, a ride like today is a Championship ride.

Hope he is at 100% in Arhem.

Farres looked like he did a MMA round..

Still looked pretty good today 6-4 with the starts and mistakes he made its still decent result IMO!

I have to say that maybe the racing wasn’t great, but IRL it’s not that big of a deal really. The area is beautiful and the trip from Stockholm or Gothenburg to Udevalla is genuinely nice. Also the the atmosphere is one of the best and this track has also some parts that are unique and really cool to watch in real life that you can’t really see properly on television. For me one of the best GP’s of the year together with Trentino and any GP held in France.

It’s like they barely had 15 guys in the race (maybe more). Mx2 looked like maybe a handful. It’s a wonder some of these races even happen.

Watching 2nd MXGP moto timing it seemed like every position had at least two seconds on the next position. The broadcast started looking at battles near 15th just to find something interesting. Really tough to go fast in anything other than main line.

I know there was/is a lot of talk about the Honda's out of the start on both US en Europe.. does someone here, really know what Honda(technical wise) did to the bike to make it so good out of the gate? Cant imagine it so secret/difficult that KTM never got figured out for him?

Really spectacular this year!

Herlings, Vialle, Fernandez, and the Lawrence bros are upfront in the first corner every moto!

I may be wrong but reading between the lines of what JT$ has said on many podcasts this whole go-to-USA deal was being pushed by the Coenens with KTM/DeCarli very apprehensive about it (but contractually obligated to facilitate it if the Coenens so wished) - That combined with their minimal SX experience and propensity to crash alot (sorry not sorry) I thought they may not be as ready as they think for a FULL smx season trying to beat the aliens, the youtuber and a healthy Sexton - but i have been downvoted to death every time I mention that sentiment but in the end I think they would be wise to just wait a year or 2 more.

They were already planning to go this year in 2023 or 24 I think, and Lucas isn't a crasher anymore. They're already at the top of their classes, I think now is the perfect time to go, very unfortunate that it seems likely that neither of them will get a world championship before leaving though

This Uddevalla GP is 9ne of the most bor8ng ones to watch from tv. Yeah the atmoaphere and crowd and on the trckside there are things that make it a positive weekend, bu as far racing goes - boring non action tram race.

There wasn't passes, everyone who tried to pass hit the ground. This year they took away the "Gifting" lane also. Last year Gifting with his race made the GP worth watching. This year, in mx 2, the only guy who made passes were Farres and McLellan - others either crashes near them or alone. Sascha lead every lap, everts tried but the way they prep the track and how it races, it is just boring. As I do the commenting of the races live, i will be honest the MXGP races were so boring I fell asleep twice during the motos.

I do not know why tgey do not to anyth8ng with the track? Year after year, same elwments, same split lines, same shit track. Ripp it up, water it to make it a muddy on saturday morning. Keep it watered so the ground stays s9ft, rip the track if neeses to get more lines and bumps, to make it a lilltle slower.

After the start, the pack stays 2 seconds from each other and just counts the laps. Tell me which pass of tge weekend was worth remembering?

To be fair Herlings had no problems making quick passes that 2nd race

To be Fair, he needed to Pass Febvre and Gaiser and it took him the whole first corner to do that.

Riders has to take some of the blaim. Lata and can't remember who, went back and fwd passing each other in 3 or 4 corners on camera where others just followed. There was passes made exactly where Gifting made passes last year.

More ruts doesn't help, they need to be able to do more block passes where they cut across.

If anything, track needs to be less sketchy so riders can hang it out more and use full width of corners to create new lines.

Lines that is created taking a normal turn, isn't made for passing. If you have two ruts with some distance between, it ain't enough if you aren't way quicker or take much higher risks.

For me, it's the world championship and there needs to be a 40 man gate. Something is wrong when ya got 22 dudes on the line in the middle of Europe.

MXGP can't compete with F1 and MotoGp.

Keep the fucking series close to home and build up the numbers...meaning, more teams competing in Europe.

Yes its nice having racing in my country, South Africa and places like Australia and South America but that kills the smaller teams. They need to figure out what is best for the actual series.

18 empty gates tells me something is broken.

Sweden isn’t middle Europe, that’s why there are lower entries.

I think it’s time to say goodbye to emx250 together with less overseas rounds. They need to get teams like BUD/SS24/Catmoto and many more to run in MX2 instead of EMX. Only emx125 for the youth on all central europe races. (Around 10-12 races)

Agree that track is sketchy. Lata and Mikula where the ones doing the fighting. Thanks to those passes they lost 4 seconds a lap.

Everyone wgo made a pass lost 2 to 3 seconds to the rider in front and two others had a chance to catch up. The problem with the track is, that 1-3 poa rides in 51s, then 4th-8th ride 52s, 8 to 12 ride 54s as a lap times, so you can lose so much time. Can't say they ride on edge, more of a hars track to get comfy. Only the vikings where strong, swedish, Danish, Norwegian guys were feeling comfy. Rest of the guys, ballerinas tiptoeing around

I think it’s time to say goodbye to emx250 together with less overseas rounds. They need to get teams like BUD/SS24/Catmoto and many more to run in MX2 instead of EMX. Only emx125 for the youth on all central europe races. (Around 10-12 races)

if you want to lose teams like Bud, VHR and Catmoto than you indeed need to abolish EMX250. You will achieve really nothing except they go back to national series and will ocasionally wildcard, just like they do now. When the EMX Open championship got nuked not a single team stepped up to MXGP. The only way to increase the number of starters is less rounds, way less fly-aways and a schedule that makes sense travel-wise. In addition to that manufacturers need to step up big time, the amount of support “official” EMX teams receive is a complete joke.

Hearing Luongo Jnr say that 20 riders of quality is better is just a cop out. I'm sure their accountant loves the fees from 40 teams more than 20 teams.

40 riders in EMX, riders of varying degrees of skill and the racing is always better.

I look fwd to EMX250 and 125 more than MXGP. MX2 is hit and miss. Why? Because of the lack of riders in the class.

Even 30 riders is excellent.

1.6K track length is woeful as well. They have taken "Grand" out of Grand Prix. It looks like the pit areas are larger than the tracks these days.

Ok I must admit their TV package is excellent.

I couldn't even watch the whole thing, fastforward all the races. Shit is getting boring , i dont know if its the lack of passing?? the tracks???

Saying goodbye to EMX250 would mean less riders in MX2, not more. It's a feeder series.

I strongly disagree with that. You think Garcia, Cannon, Doensen, the Cat moto riders, the motovation guys, Askew, Brookes, Katona, etc. etc. would simply disappear?
I would expect a bunch of guys and teams would start riding MX2. The problem i expect is that now these guys aim for 12 EMX250 rounds, so i'd see them do less wildcards and the GPs further away in europe (for most) would still have issues filling the gates.

That list of riders only got where they are in their careers because of EMX.

Think about it.

Who's going to fund that?

Any updates on Jago Geerts?

Dude has had a rough past few years, I really thought he would be one of the next top riders in MXGP after seeing him keep Tomac honest at Red Bud MXON in '22. Gutted to see how his career has been going.
