Most of the food Japanese people eat is pretty tame for the average American palate. Udon, katsu, curry rice, ramen, and stuff like that is good for picky eaters.

I did eat a set at a Buddhist temple that was kind of difficult. They gave me this giant block of super soft and jiggly raw tofu. At home in America, I eat tofu pretty regularly, but this was challenging even for me 😂 I had to use the entire serving of wasabi they gave me to get it down.

Yes. Did not care for it. Like eating thick slimy snot with giant boogers in it.

Easy, guys. Ken just won the Supercross championship a few months ago. They probably invited him over to congratulate him and have him tour the facilities; the workers there get a kick out of visiting dignitaries.

It takes several years to design, develop, prove and produce a new model at the quality standards Suzuki demands. They have either been working on it for a while or are not ready yet, but a new RM-Z would have little to no relationship to Kenny winning the title. If they happen to have one ready right now, just as he won, it would only be GREAT timing.

Ken also went to the Hayabusa event at Hayabusa station in Totori last Sunday (Tsuda-kun was there too)

unfortunately a new Suzuki motocross bike has not been in the works for years (more like months) and that is all i'm going to say

Ah, Natto and Durian - Breakfast of The Gods!

Gods Of The Underworld that is!

Somehow, I survived such a thing - I guess that makes me a Monster!

Funnily enough, I LOVE Durian Lollies - they don't smell, and taste Great! 😆

Hey at this point, something is better than nothing. Even if it’s in the early stages it’s pretty awesome that there is life under the yellow umbrella.

If it has been in development merely for months, then it is probably a 2029 model.

THey put the second generation RMZ out in 2007 as a 2008 model. And then in 2018 they revised it to what we have now.  With  many less visible changes throughout all of the years and those models. Even a new frame at one point that reused the same bodywork.

But the last 2 generations have been done on 10 year cycles.  I would love to see them keep the current chassis and maybe update the bodywork , add some more power and an electric start , keep the weight the same as it is now or get it to drop some weight.

For the average rider, just putting an electric start onto it would be enough. But changing bodywork seems like it's needed so people can think the bike is drastically changed.  Its cool to see companies like R-tech and Polisport making plastic to revive the looks of older bikes and give them current style.  I'm surprised that there hasn't been one done for the RMZ with so many years of models that it could fit. Must not be a big enough market for it  I guess.  R-tech has started to make restyled plastic kits for Surron's and some cool rally kits for Kove and Yamaha's.  Wild to think there is a bigger market for those than a restyled RMZ.  Maybe that's saying something that Suzuki is listening to.

An electric start alone would likely attract more of the play riders and Vet's . When Your out play riding and starting and stopping to chat with buddies, that electric start really comes in handy. Most of the time  a kickstart is all that's needed on a  Pro's race only bike. Unless you fall or stall, You start it a handful times over the entire day at a race. But the average guy buying a bike likely starts their bike much more often and when out with buddies on an RMZ and You have to kick it, while they are hitting that magic button.  That might just be a bigger reason than many think that fewer RMZ's are out there than other brands.

My buddies that are local Pros have changed brands because the RMZ didn't have enough power for them.  One rode Suzuki's from when he got onto 80's right up through the ranks , raced Nationals, then the 30+ class, the 40+ class, and finally changed brands after riding the 2018 generation RMZ for 2 seasons.  He's on a KTM now and loves them.  Funny thing is that he gets bikes twice as often, and had to buy the cone valves and spend a bunch on suspension to feel as comfortable as he did on his RMZ with FC having gone through it and putting the 250 shock on it. But he was  getting pulled on straight's and hills on the RMZ. And wanted the power without modding an engine. I don't know that the power would be an issue for most of us though.  But for some guys that is an area it lacked in.

I bet that we see a"new" RMZ450 for 2028. It would be cool to see one raced in the MXGP's  or have a Factory edition made that Kenny could ride in SX in 2027.  I hope thats what the visit  is about.

So I’m hearing that RMZ redesigns happen on years ending with an 8?

Next summer..

Thats how its been done for most of the models life so far. It wouldn't surprise me.

I've seen more drawings and info on an electric RMZ than a new 450.  It would be cool if they put out a powertrain to convert the current generation RMZ's to RME.  with bolt on electric power. Or a factory made kit that comes with everything needed to bolt in a 125 or 250cc 2 stroke.   That would be an interesting way for  a brand to get back into making 2 strokes again.  If they could make a package like that that would also be usable in  shifter karts .  That way they have an outlet for selling the engines and it could also be a dealer option with some sort of discount if You did it on a brand new bike and gave them the 4 stroke engine back.

If there is a way to build a chassis that would work well with a 2 stroke, 4 stroke and electric power system, that would be a cool way to offer more models and keep costs lower.   Kinda like how KTM has 3 brands of bikes based off the same chassis. But with 3 power types instead.

I happen to have a lower hour current generation RMZ450 that I would love to convert into electric after riding a Varg.  So if Suzuki came out with that electric system it filed patents on a while back, that would be something I would be looking at. Otherwise, maybe I'll do a DIY conversion as long as it's reversible. Or maybe buy a Varg.

It would be very well received, however probably not as well as if they up the small block chevy theme and produced a RM350.

It isn't going to happen, But :

Just imagine the reaction if Suzuki suddenly pulled out a 'FE' / 'SR' / 'WE' RMZ450, all new, for next years SX, for KR to debut.

Pull the - largely - KTM thing of having the new model debut that way, for the 'cooking variety' of it to come out as a '28.

Won't happen, but, it would be great to see.

I'd say we will see a MXGP works Suzuki 450 first....

I for one hope they keep the classic plastic and body work of the current RMZ 450. It looks like a dirt bike should look.

I posted an article over in Electric Bikes, that Suzuki purchased a patent for an RM-Electric. Pretty sure they're focus might be headed that direction more than a new RMZ.

They are rumored to return to mxgp in 2028, an all new rmz450 would make sense

I saw that they had patents for what looked like an electric conversion for the current RMZ chassis a year or 2 ago . Is that the same thing You're talking about or is there more on top of the earlier patents.

Everybody wants them to add an electric motor to the RMZ. But less people posting on here want to see the electric motor and battery be the primary way of powering the bike.  I do not think that is what the majority of people think though. Look at the amount of surron sized electric motorcycle options out there.

What's more modern than eliminating the gas powerplant  and making the starter a hair bigger and a little bigger battery.  I wouldn't be surprised if Suzuki was the first on the current big brands to come out with a legit electric MX bike.  They were the first fuel injected 4 stroke.  I hope they do keep refining the gas bikes too.
