The Coombs were coming back from racing the NMA race and they stopped at the LL campgrounds and that how it all started.
Not that long ago all the top racers raced at NMA Ponca City then caravan to Lorettas to race.
Have heard they've lost 12 campers to the water, including them floating down the river.
I know people that have been there since Friday and say it’s not anything like they’re posting on social media!! They are parked right by the creek and it’s not out of it’s banks!!!
They should have paid the docking fee! FAFO

Heard the same thing, got lots of friends and my son are parked by the river, They said it didn't even raise at all.
Maybe it didnt, but if it had and the place was rammed to the rafters already, it could and would have been a disaster.
It isnt that long ago we were reporting the loss of a track employee losing their lives in the flooding , people have short memories.
Its called risk avoidance.
You are correct....it's been over 40yrs....I'm surprised I even remembered that the original warm-up series was a different sanctioning body...let me have my moment😂
It wasn't a track worker, it was a Loretta Lynns ranch employee. He had a lapse in judgement and shoulvdve protected himself at all costs. In the history of the ranch, that was the worst flood they had. The investigation proved that it was a fluke event that was a culmination of a multitude of factors that had never occurred in TN 's history. Being that you are from the UK and have fuck all knowledge about anything to do with the event or the area, you may want to sit this one out.
Holy cow, my buddy just sent me this pic of the LL's pits!
Man, I'd be burning if I spent a bunch of money to get stuck in that!
Burning Man is actually a good comparison to LL

Who remembers Branson Mo when the river rose so fast people lost there trailers.
Cotter just posted that one area is still not open (area 3) and they are sending them to area 4. Water receded quickly, but it's just muddy.
I wasnt sure, but either way , it happened.
And everything is fine until it isnt, thats what makes fluke events, fluke events.
There will be a man who is responsible for the safety of everyone on that site, he will have to have an evacuation plan, and based on past events, he made the call to keep people away. We had to do the same here last year for the biggest event in the UK, i know how it works.
I have been following the event since the early 80's, and have watched all the livestreams every year since they started. Dont assume anything about what i do and do not know.
So me and my son are going to drive up for Friday and Saturday motos. We'll be paying for parking and just gonna spectate. How far is the spectator parking away from the track and how early should we get to the facility to beat any significant traffic? Also any advice on directions to the spectator parking would be greatly appreciated! We've never been and it's always been something we wanted to do. He turns 18 in October and this seemed like my last chance to make it happen before he heads off to the Air Force when he graduates next May. Thanks in advance guys.
Park upstream and Kayak in, save both time and money
1 year ago 28 people died at a girls summer camp in Texas in a flash flood, 2 years ago North Carolina was decimated by hurricane Helene. There's a recent history of unprecedented flooding turning tragic.
2 donwvotes?
C'mon people lighten the ef up.
Pit Row
It will be $80 a car per day, just a heads up so you aren't caught off guard, so $40 a person per day; but that's not bad to watch some great racing, especially if there all day. Satruday is only 1/2 a day, not every moto races Saturday. You will likely park across the road or near story land, depends on how early you get there. When we went last year you couldn't drive past the spectator parking, they directed you where to go and had people waving you in. If you get there early Friday I can pick you up on side by side and take you to the part of the track you want to go, my kid races later in the day.
Yeah we knew Saturday is just all the remaining motos. We plan on getting there in time to watch the first motos and staying all day. It'd be awesome of you to take time out of your day to help us out. I had already asked about the parking prices and spectator pricing. So no big deal there. Thank you for your kindness, this is why we've loved moto it's usually a huge family.
GOOD GOD
From everything I've found that is the only expense for spectator entry. So if you brought more people in one car it'd be even more affordable, but like CRT said $40 bucks a day isn't bad for a days entertainment.
$40 a day per person is crazy
$40 gets you the whole weekend Friday-Sunday at GNCCs.
Cotter/Coombs mafia lining their pockets
Guess hold a sign up at the gate and try to carpool in with groups to spread the cost 🤷♂️
You Sir, are the MAN!😎
