I worked in power sports retail for 20+ years.
Whoever painted the helmet knew what was up… then FLY was like WE MUST USE FLO YELLOW! And ruined what was a coool ass idea and concept
So many people posting they don't like how the stuff looks. I wonder, what did Your Dad's think about the gear You loved back in the 90's and early 2000's ?? Likely similar thoughts to what many have that are now a similar age.
I took a look and I thinks its a good variety of stuff. A little bit of everything. Just like any brand, there are things IU wouldn't wear. But I don't think it's the worst of the 2027 gear that I've seen. I really like a few of the designs. That Pink one that was posted on here, and some others.
I like the trend of using more organic shapes and softer shapes. It's something that is new. While so much gets recycled and You can often find stuff that was inspired by other brands past designs in just about every brands lineup here and there.
The Star guys have some 27 Thor stuff on today. So much white, with 2 laps to go, I'm impressed at how clean the white is on most of them. I have a lot of customers who will not buy any gear with white on the back of the pants.
I recently became a dealer for One industries and Oneal. I haven't gotten anything in yet, was waiting on 2027 stuff. so I'll get some in soon now. I really like the looks of the One industries stuff.
Alpinestars stuff is all pretty similar to the past couple years designs just with some slight changes. I like most of it, was hoping for something more risky, and different. But its all similar .
One trend that's nice to see is more chest protectors, pads coming out from more brands. Thor has some new stuff coming, Fly has some, Alpinestars has some new stuff. But it's nice to see a trend towards more protection options. When I first started to sell gear I was surprised at the lack of chest protector options. Now there are 100's of options . Leatt and alpinestars have the widest range. And Thor was slacking big time on that side until just recently. They have a new chest protector too.
Leatt stuff is all great quality and they don't use plastic bags at all. I used to fill dumpsters with all the plastic bags from gear when I was selling a lot of it. Had to slow things down while caring for my Mum. But things have changed and I hope to get back to those and better levels. But it was surprising all of the plastic that is involved. Everything is bagged to keep the packaging clean while in the warehouses. The leatt bags are biodegradable and the cardboard is all printed with inks that are cleaner for the environment. The materials used and workmanship has been top notch on all of the stuff I've sold of theirs. I wear Leatt MTB helmets , my favorite is the all mtn 4.
Shot Racegear has an airbag system too. I may reach out to my contact with them and see if they have anything for dealers in the US. Shot is underrated stuff. They have a customizing feature that allows you to have Your jersey made in the colors you want and with logos as well as Your name and number.

I agree on the body armour being more of a priority for companies. It’s really great to see.
But on the ‘what did you dad think of your gear’ point… it doesn’t track because the best looking gear is pretty much universal. Alpinestars.
With Troy Lee, One, Leatt and Fox not too far behind.
There’s some great looking gear out there. And there There’s Fly who seem to have spent all their designer money smoking Rheon in the back of the WPS warehouse.
This is their attempt at cutting edge lmao.
LOL
Exactly. This is the new logo.
TBH I’m sure a decent designer could do something with it though
And even though the new owners have nothing to do with it, that's one hell of a great, clever logo...
JT$ bout to come in here and whoop everyone’s ass lol
How cool, it's like, just exactly the same. What an amazing, cutting-edge relooking.
🤣
C'mon, he's 3ft2.
Got big arms, though.
😉
Just support smaller companies like mine- Asagiwear, I try to make cool designs and think I have some good looking stuff, and am always adding and working on new kits, and can change colors easy for a custom order, do full custom kits, sublimated jerseys, etc.
I love doing it, and am constantly working on improving the gear making changes, trying new materials it’s fun as hell to me I love it.
There’s plenty of other guys out there doing same thing I am that have some cool looking gear too.
But the Be quick or be Caught (a channel on yt) crowd loves that look... and there's a lottt more of them, than of the crowd looking for a cleaner race style look like u and i....
Yoder's Fly gear looked slick today.
Lot of of other gear to pick from
My complaint is on the lite gear moving BOA to the back.
One industries could slap shit all over their gear Jackson Pollock style and as long as they had their white logo on top it would still look good
Pit Row
2010’s FLY was at every BMX racing event
You’ll probably see these jerseys on a bunch of dudes mobbin their Polaris RZRs out in the desert lol
The Blur and Fade lines look good IMO. I prefer it to what Fox is producing lately.
Edit: Evolution DST isn’t bad either. The Black/White/Orange and the red are nice.
Variety is good, vote with your wallet.
I wish more dealers thought like you! We might have more around.
Dude me too. I’ve told him before but I really wish he was one of my accounts.
The new MSR stuff I got is better than the Astars stuff I was buying at a 1/3rd of the price!
Just be glad Fly is taking the heat off of Thor for the time being... 😉
Thank you. With the oem surcharges, online sellers, and shitty 19yr old "techs" coming out of MMI. Owning a bike shop ain't what it used to be.
Always thought it would be wise to do custom kits throughout the year. Have a rider wear it for a weekend, see the responses on social media and produce. Alpinestars has gotten pretty good at this in my opinion.
😂
Yeah everyone hates everyone's new gear anymore so I'm not too concerned about it. It seems like its been cool to hate on thor but then they bring up the cats stuff from years ago that we literally sold out in days as a sign of how much we suck lol. We had almost zero closeout stuff from 26 so we must be doing something right. It's impossible to make something that everyone likes but we keep coming out with new things and its doing great in my dealers. Plus there is always a cycle with all the gear brands where we all take turns selling more than others but its also very regionally dependent as well. The really dumb thing is all the new gear comes out at the end of outdoors. This never made any sense to me because most of the country is winding down their seasons in August/September when most brands have their primary launch of the new stuff. I would sure think launching the bulk of your products for A1 but they don't ask me haha!
It looks like they tried to take a page out of Fox's IMAGE line 😅
I finally went to the source and surprise surprise the copy is AI generated slop… gives a bit of an inside to where the budget is being channeled.
And I know I know ‘who cares,’ you’d think the company putting their best foot forward would care. And when they don’t, what does it say… can we trust the product when they take short cuts with the simple things.
For anyone that plays music live, musicians have a rider — basically a list of things they want backstage when they perform. Some musicians have absurd riders, like ‘I want MM’s but no brown ones,’ but reality for this particular request was that they needed to know the promoter could get the details right or they would struggle to trust their bodies and lives with the theatrics of the show… can we trust the quality of the product when they outsource the simplest things to AI, review it, and consider it good enough to represent their brand…
This isn’t just FLY though, FOX’s big Deegan campaign at the beginning out outdoors ran on AI slop copy as well…
