Jett is the perfect example of the principle: "The idea is to win as slowly as possible."

If that still isn't obvious after today, you're just being delusional. Whenever he decides to, he can drop everyone with ease, then immediately settles into a pace that's just enough to stay in front. He never goes any harder than he has to.

Jett probably laid it down on purpose to wait on Deegs so he could drop him again.  That moto was as straight up as it gets.

Props to Deegan though for having the rest of the field covered by a mile.  Not very deep at the moment unfortunately

Deegan can’t beat a 90% Jett when he crashes and was next time off the start. Maybe Jett gets run over in turn 1 and Deegs can beat him. Thats unlikely at this point even. Are you guys just high or stupid that keep thinking Deegan can beat him?

Arguing with yourself…

I don’t see anyone on here saying Deegan can beat Jett..

Honestly I wish someone would give these guys a battle…it’s the Lawrence brothers, Deegan and then the rest of the field …At least Deegan is giving it everything he’s got (which isn’t enough)..unlike the rest of the field settling for 4-40th..

I’m convinced the peloton brothers would beat anybody in history of the sport.

2 seconds faster than Deegan who is 1 second faster than Prado

Listen, the Lawrences are awesome! But please stop glazing them, okay? Beat anyone in the history of the sport?! C'mon man how old are you 12?

Each era builds on each other. Stop with the nonsense.

I'm a fan of all of the riders. I like good racing but you Lawrence fans are as obnoxious as the Deegan fans. Retarded takes and hyperbole is annoying as hell.

How many times has Deegan gone off the track and pinned it or straight up cut the track? A bunch

Hunter and Jett seem to approach motos different. Hunter seems to gain speed gradually during the moto and looks somewhat cautious relative to Jett and Deegan.

He re-entered the track in exactly the same way as the one he was penalized for. All gas, not looking to see who was coming.

Well... the "Deegan's best track, Lawrences' worst track" theory kinda backfired

He has no choice since he can't run with them.  Of course he's going to be all humble on the podium.  Hard to talk shit when you are getting worked every weekend after all the BS before the season started

Hunter almost cleaned out his bro at least twice in that second moto. I half expected Jett to take out his front tire when he made the pass.

Idk I think Hunter is pushing his limits also. There was a few moments Hunter made some mistakes for sure.

They have to make up their own arguments to make them feel better I guess. I have already said, weeks ago, Deegan can win, but it would take both the brothers probably making mistakes which is unlikely to happen at the same time in a single race.

But yes, he is clearly getting better and so are the brothers. Long way to go.

He literally crashed which you said and he still gapped the shit out of him. 10 seconds in 5 minutes is doing different things. A crash isn’t even enough.

They did it to Deegan several times in the same moto so its only fair to do it to Jett too.

The comment I was replying to actually said if Lawerence’s crashed Deegs could beat them. Read the comment I was replying too. JFC reading is hard here.

No. He got popped for that once. The other 6-7 spots were due to him cutting the track, which he did more times than were even caught on camera

We act like Ricky was the benchmark but even Ricky paled in comparison to other athletic fields. Why did Ricky look so insane? Because Jeremy and the guys before him would fuck around at Havasu half of the week and then win on the weekend without really trying.

Even with RD5, he DID have a real training program, but the Aldon Baker program consisted of “run yourself into brick wall, repeat”. Why else was he spent after 8 years? The Lawrence’s are really the first example of a truly holistic training program on par to other top level athletes across sporting fields. Recovery, training, mentality, everything.

You have to remember that some of the best guys in this sport just 10 years ago would show up to a bike race on Saturday and get beaten by Dave from accounting with a regular job in terms of fitness.

Tell us you’ve never been an athlete without telling us you’ve never been an athlete. Ricky was as elite as any athlete in the world, and so were James, Chad, RV, RD, ET, KR. Stefan Everts wasn’t at Lake Havasu, he was an absolute animal with ultra smooth precision riding, his training program was extensive, state of the art, and would make many athletes cry, and Ricky absolutely owned him.

Your opinion isn’t unpopular, it’s uneducated, and biased, like a lot of the posts here.

What are you arguing about? Do you just need someone to argue with? I mean yea, there are different levels of crashes and mistakes. Like, last weekend for example.

What has you so upset? Like no one is running around saying Deegan is better than Hunter or Jett so I am not sure why so many of you feel the need to make things up. What are we doing?

Regarding RD & Aldon
This contradicts the notion that Aldon's program consisted of "run yourself into a brick wall, repeat".

You just made the point for me thank you for agreeing that Jett did it 2 times so that should be docked another position

In motocross there is literally only a tiny amount of speed that can be gained by being stronger. That’s not how the sport works. Sure, being fit helps… but if it was that simple Jeremy Martin would have had 9 championships right now. There’s a level you need to be to ride 30 mins + 1 lap but speed is speed.

themx11 wrote:

You’re right…. Just never seen anything like these dudes even Carmichael. And Hunter Lawrence was never that guy. Super fucking weird.

It because Hunter finally chose to race Jett, rather than race for him. Last season, Jett was QB and Hunter was his offensive lineman.

that's a stupid f'n take....last year Jett didn't need anybody to block for him, nor does he this year. Hunter doesn't need blockers either. your boy does however....

Was not able to watch race but I see the Lawfirm won again.
Jetts fastest lap he went off the track and got penalized?
Deegs crashed first corner moto 1?

Deegs beat Jett moto 2?

All the drama.   Need more riders to hop into the top 3 group.   Barcia?—-dude still rocks on a bike.

Who did what to Deegan? Are you talking about when they docked him 7 times for cutting 7 times or whatever? I’m on the side that’s saying “I thought they would penalize Jett twice.”
