Not an O’Mara bashing thread, or intended disrespect in any way- I’m just wondering what he brings.

Sure, fitness he can teach, and keep them accountable (just like Aldon) but I’m not convinced 1980s-90s riding techniques can offer much in 2026.

Ask the GOAT.

That was still over twenty years ago.. One could argue was Ricky's riding style comparable to how we see the winners ride today? We can read constantly on here about how riding has evolved, they're going faster than ever "Bubba changed how people ride" Feet off in the turns/ feet on the pegs in the turns, we can visually see riders 'manual' things that we hadn't seen in years past, blah blah blah.... And then other people here say that how riders rode in the 80s is still relevant... Which is it?

Multiple things can be true at the same time.

Johnny brings his understanding of the body and how it works, and how it’s supposed to work in conjunction with a motorcycle. Understanding what muscles to train and why you’re training them.

I’m not going to say to much here, but Hunter was on a struggle bus when he first got here, he got tired rather easily and got hurt a few times.  Johnny came along, watched him train and ride, basically analyzed him. He suggested they see a Dr to get his blood levels tested to see what was lacking and for any kind of allergies, food included. They found something wrong with him that took about 18 months to get over and get his strength back. It’s something he still struggles with, but it’s controlled. He also helped Jett focus, something Dazy couldn’t do. When Jett was 16 he was like a Hurd of cats.

Another thing about O’Show, he taught Aldon everything he knows about training a motorcross rider.

Besides all that, I don’t know what he brings either.

Welcome to Vital Johnny👍

I do.

I work in the filling industry. Was in beverages, now in personal care. Things move much slower in personal care.
