There's viewing times but the auction is online only. Sent the info to some cousins back home in Illinois who spend some time every winter on the trails in Wisconsin and I fully expect them to make some absurd purchases if the price is right. There's so many I can't imagine them all going for top dollar but maybe I'm under estimating the Wisconsin sled scene.

The vintage sled scene is huge . I hv a pal that’s into it sled show, a trail ride , he drag races too.  Not sure what lake in northern Wi . But the women drag race / radar runs in bikinis . Lol supposed to be a wild time.

So I was on vacation in Jamaica over the Christmas break down at the pool, and this guy walks by with a Fox Moto-X jersey on and I asked him if he rides. Turns out hes a huge SX/MX fan and we start talking about who's gonna win the 2026 SX championship, who old favorites are etc, then we get on the 2-stroke vs 4-stroke debate and he  mentions this guys warehouse in the same town as him... He got invited to this guy Stanley's warehouse and the guy has all these ex-race bikes of old Pros and and a ton of other collectables. Then he brings out his phone and starts showing me all these pictures of when he was there. Turns out the Stanley guy was a paramid scheemer and ripped off alot of people including some of his own friends and family. He was waiting to hear what was gonna happen to all the bikes as he wanted to buy a couple of them..... Crazy story about this Stanley guy, a huge crook that really loved Moto.

This is the only picture I was able to get of him. As he was showing us the bikes. He was full of shit. Told us a bunch of lies of how he amassed his wealth and collection.AA982F83-57FC-4CEE-9FB8-B02D6F2131CB.jpeg?VersionId=PEReTzXTcrgJV

Thanks. Probably a Scott Stegar build then. Scott only built a couple of RC2 replicas. I have one of them.

What do you mean by a bunch of ‘07 CRs? Pretty sure those are a pretty penny. Even so, I might be interested.

Nice build.

I actually had to take my son's XR80 kickstand off at the line of a local race that had an 'unclassified' class.  He was racing his 65 but when we heard about the unclassified class he wanted to run his XR also.  Didn't even think about the kickstand until one of the starters pointed it out.

Didn't take long!

Looks like he has a 90's Prototype Nissan hiding in there too. Phuk me I'd be out a shitload of cabbage if I was in a position.

That collection is insane, I personally like the late 80s early 90s twin track skidoo oval sleds. Saw there’s a Tim bender vmax sled in there as well. Certainly a bunch of cool racing history there should go to good homes after the auction.

There’s really not much use in those older oval race sleds like the twin track are there? Do they still have vintage classes for them?

I’m surprised he doesn’t have a collection of muscle sleds.

Quite a few 2 stroke road bikes as well.

Merril the fastest 1/8 mi ice drag strip in the world .  Not there he hits vintage shows/ drags with his ski pony 180 & scorpion whip.  He won in Mn. I don’t think he ever did in Wi.   I collapsed my lung & broke 7 ribs near my spine . So my riding this yr is done.  Me at 9 or 10 1966 panther with high compression 8 hp kohler engine. Made in kohler Wi.  I hv my mom ,s hat, gloves & jacket on in my long johns . Lol IMG 7014 6

They have them on Little St Germain lake.   Bent's Camp On the Cisco Chain holds another as well. The one in St Germain gets sleds that go close to 170 mph in like 500 or 600 feet It's a good time.

Agreed for the most part.  Sure, he gets little details wrong now and then (or sometimes often!) but the bikes themselves are worth watching and his doofiness has at least a little entertainment value.

He's not someone I'd probably like to have to spend a 5 hour flight sitting next to, but for the bike videos he's harmless.
