If Thomas hadn't made that mistake then he wouldn't have gotten landed on. Simple as that. Even MA800, one of the least skilled SX riders on the track, can make that step on combo in traffic (which he did during this incident), so Thomas is partially to blame for this outcome.
Get off JS's nut for trying to come through the pack. Racing is racing. Hell, I've been landed on during a practice session on an outdoor track, with about 5 total riders on the track.
Per JT..pulp podcast up soon but he doesn't think its good.knee injury..
Yeah it is funny when people write shit when they don't know whether someone is hurt or not...
JT Podcast
I just watched the race today, and I definitely did not see Stewart "land on top of JT." Yes, he was committed to his line in a very tricky section and hit the back of JT, but "land" on him? Hardly. Was it Stewart's fault? Probably. Certainly more than JT's. But JT definitely made a mistake, which in that particular section, once committed there was really nothing Stewart could do. And then none of us know what he was up against with potential damage to his bike. Am I defending JS? I don't think so. Just saddened by the shared idiocy flowing back and forth amongst a bunch of wannabe rider hacks with no understanding of the situation, yet somehow wishing to share with the world all their "knowledge." Do us all a favor, do NOT tell your friends how much you know about racing. Clearly it's not helping our (the sport of MX's/SX's) cause.
Pit Row
Not hating, just pointing out the obvious. JMO, of course.
You probably couldn't see that Stewart was in 11th and Reed in 13th with James sac in your mouth...
Stewart blew it out of the gate and dropped back about 1/2 a bike length early on the start. Then he kept it WFO pin-balling off riders on both sides of him and then ran it in hard in the first turn and took himself and about half the pack out. Not dirty, just a racing incident (who hasn't had their leg broken by some ass who didn't shut off in the first corner and center-punched you? lol), but it WAS a dumb move by a world-class racer that didn't seem to be thinking things through (had lost his head). Seems it might have been wiser once he blew the gate to drop back a bit and try to tuck it in tight around the first corner and salvage a decent (top 10?) start. It's always better to get a "decent" start than to start the race on the ground.
If this was the first time jumping on someone I would say it was totally just a racing incident...BUT, Stewy keeps doing it and now has a track record for doing the same thing over and over again. What is this 5 or 6 times now? I understand the speed issue, but that's not really the deal all the time. When he jumped on The Goat, they were pretty much evenly matched on speed that day and Bubba just made a bad (and dangerous) decision. He needs to "cool it" when things go wrong early in the race and use his head to work by riders, not by taking risky chances around riders going slower than he is. Even when McGrath and Carmichael were going much faster than most of their competition, I don't remember them jumping on other riders.
People run into each other all the time, get hurt and all (Wilson hit Durham last night, broken leg) but Stewart is the shit magnet for that. He has had 3 bad ones and the Partridge one was really his fault for not thinking fast enough while in the middle of a flock of flying bikes but last night was as much racing incident as a racing incident can be.
what about Windham hitting Clark??? Why did the same haters hated on Clark? What about Barcia riding like there's no one else on the track (almost hurt Wilson bad last night) and being so revered by the same group of people who writes crap on stewart? I don't see the difference between the 2, except that Barcia is way more aggressive when he passes people, it almost looks like he is actually looking for the contact. Barcia is not far from hurting someone but when it's him it's all cool?
If JT can't jump a small double, he should wave his arm, that's what slow people do usually.
He admits it!
Post a reply to: Stewart has changed...really?????
