The problem is,till now,he has not won one title, not in EMX nor MX2.With his recent injury,i doubt he will win this year.
"Fast as hell between crashes."
Bahaha!! Funniest thing I've read all day. 🤣
Well, I don't think Weege made it up that Ian told him this... But that definitely puts us squarely where we were on the Chase thing at Thunder Valley. Are we saying it could have been rider error in one of the situations, but not the other? Both bikes seem to have been ok after the event based on current info...
It's just wild to me.
They’re already signed to wear Alpinestars.
I’m not surprised but at the same time, I thought Fly would figure something out as they’ve been growing the caliber of riders on their roster the last few years.

I am not sure, just seems peculiar to me that two of the best riders in the world would go over the bars without motorcycle input not being what they expected. 🤷🏻
Yes, its crazy... With Chase, we know he rode his bike back. With a torn ACL none the less. Lucas didn't ride his back, but it sounds like he rung his bell and chose not to, so that was potentially misleading that he didn't ride his bike back, if what Ian said is true.
Obviously, there are other scenarios in both situations and while they looked similar, could have been polar opposites in actuality.
Could it be rear shock fade? That would do it.
I thought it was a false neutral. That’s why it was panic revved and no rear wheel spinning. G-ed out before, false neutral and went off the roller in neutral over the bars.
I should add: those boys can ride and made the day so fun to watch! Can’t wait to have them racing every weekend over here. Will be some fireworks.
A false neutral is a very rare occurrence when the bike is more than likely in 3-4th gear, especially with a supposed custom transmission.
I guess anything can happen.
I did not see or hear a panic rev. To me it looks like the shock went straight to bottom which to a surprise to the rider will throw his body forward.
At the speeds these freaks are going, it doesnt take much more than a millionth of a stutter with the bike to cause catastrophic situations.
Also, in all fairness, it could simply be a miscalculation by the rider also.
Well the MXGP season has already gone 11 rounds and he’s leading the points…
Easy to say in hindsight. They are good everywhere but they excel in sand. Why would any track other than Southwick be preferred?
No one's taking KTM's words seriously that nothing was wrong with Lucas's bike are they?
Simple question, why would KTM say that?
I did just rewatch the crash and he staggers a bit when he stands up, confirming to me that he rung his bell.
My answer is optics. KTM is in a pretty fragile spot as a company, one miss step like a world champion hopeful’s motorcycle letting go and potentially derailing his aspirations is not a good look. But as I have stated before I don’t know.
KTM said nothing was wrong with Prado's bike when it clearly failed on TV during High Point 1st moto I believe?
Also, on the post race itw Lucas gave here (https://www.vitalmx.com/features/post-race-interviews-2026-southwick) when asked about the crash he said "I can't go into details" so to me it sounds like it's a bike issue and they wanna burry this.
Ian Harrison told Lewis Phillips in the post-race interview that the engine broke for Prado. Go back and listen, because your info is incorrect.
If Lucas had simply made a riding mistake, you think he would have just said so? Or that he just crashed, and not sure what he did wrong. That would have been an easy way for him to say it was not the bike's fault, but he didn't do that.
Pit Row
I get the possibility of optics... But letting it go and saying nothing isn't that painful to the optics, versus basically throwing your future cash cow and the face of your brand under the bus.
I don't know what happened, but it's just weird to me...
F1 drivers don't seem to care too much when things are going wrong. They'll straight up tell their strategists they're doing it wrong, or bitch about the car.
I'm going to guess that there are more eyes on that than a motorbike meeting.
Who knows man, I am saying it was the bike. Whether it cut out or let go I’m not sure but it just seems awful fishy. Again this is all just speculation and we probably won’t ever know, kinda like Davi’s Locker. 😆
True that...
UPCOMING ANNOUNCEMENT-

Post a reply to: Surprised, no one is sayin, Lucas and Sasha's boss has to be pissed...
